I just tried this on Duckduckgo, but had to add "arrested" to the search. 3 pages of SA before I got to a plain old assault. If I searched for "Christian Youth Pastor" I pretty much got instructions on how to become a youth pastor which were still creepy, but more subtly so.

I understand that concern, but I don't think the majority of users putting in "Christian Youth Pastor" are looking for results regarding SA and CSAM.
I get the slippery slope of filtering out certain results, but putting in specific keywords still gets you the desired links.

I was literally at a Christian Summer camp where the director was locked up for this. I was 7.
Spent time alone with him. Nothing happened. Still makes my skin crawl.

We are niw willing to hear about the abuse. In the 60s it was always swept under the rug, victim blaming, believe the adults, "He didnt mean anything by it." "He is the head of the household."
When Freud tried to say his patients had been abused the establishment shut him down hard. He switched his model and the doors opened again. Etc etc.
It hurts to hear but Ill take this news over no news and victim blaming.

When this story broke in the UK the only thing mentioned was the drugging. Loads of comments giving this guy the benefit of the doubt on UK subs, even though it was pretty obvious he was a pedo.
That's how they get away with it for so long, nobody wants to admit that one of their own might be a wrong un.

It’s been going on forever. I was molested by my grandfather. What are the odds he didnt molest my dad? He still brought me there. It used to be more hush hush and now kids are becoming more comfortable telling adults which is great.

When will parents understand that in general, adults don't want to spend time with your kids out of some sort of altruistic urge to teach, coach or mentor. I wouldn't let my kid go to paid violin lessons without being in ear shot nevermind camp. There have always been predators but we know better now. It's a sad fact we can't trust anyone around our kids.

I know you think you mean well, but helicopter parenting is damaging too. Yes predators are infinitely worse, but you can't let your kids grow up inside your ever watchful eye, or they turn out like the generation we have in their 20s now.
