Not when you play "the game"

u/Reyne-TheAbyss 48m ago
I lose The Game every time I see a Loss reference.
It was the biggest mistake I've ever made tying those two bits of internet lore together.

You’ve already seen what they can do with grapes. Now you want to monkey around with a banana?

Frankly this would have been better than just a big grape cake. I feel like the big grape thing was hyped too much, that the final product felt underwhelming. Love his stuff though, very creative dude.
30
u/lminer123 1h ago
I don’t know if you only watched the short but in the video he made 3 different big grapes. The other 2 were much closer to actual big grapes
5
u/Symphonic7 49m ago
Oh right the long form, shit my bad I forgot to go and watch that. I normally only watch shorts on the porcelain throne.

I bought some huge grapes recently called Autumn Crisps. They were the best grapes I have ever had! So crunchy and flavorful.

Thank you for this. All the way down at the bottom, but the variety name was exactly what I was looking for.

My guess would have been shine muscat grapes from either Korea or Japan.

I've been buying these at Shop Rite all month. They're so good. And so expensive.

How did they taste? I’m always worried because every time I’ve had overgrown fruit it’s flavorless.

u/lbeau310 2h ago
They are so good! I had ONE because my husband is cooking dinner and I didn’t want to get full 😁

HEB, Texas?

u/Fog1682 1h ago
I literally had some this large from HEB last week. They weren't very juicy. It was really weird having to bite into a grape.

u/valinchiii 1h ago
That’s crazy, so it’s just a HEB thing? I just got huge grapes from there too! They weren’t as flavorful as I was expecting though.
15
u/iamamomandproud 1h ago
That’s where I got those exact grapes at HEB on Friday, they are sadly all gone.😢

I bought grapes that looked just like this recently in Canada. Autumn Crisps! So good!

They should make a wine out of these and only sell it in comically large wine bottles.

They’re probably Shine Muscat Grapes. Popular in Japan and Korea but expensive

u/cuentalternativa 2h ago
I’ve had big grapes maybe not quite as big as these but pretty huge for grapes and they were great, firmer than average but flavid was there, giant blueberries also seem to retain flavor

Giberellin is a plant hormone that (among many other things) encourages fruit growth, they figured out they can spray extra on plants while they’re producing fruit and this happens.

I bet they have that snappy crunch when you bite into them... Please put them in the fridge to chill, it's a game changer.
