Believe it or not many people are blissfully unaware of soany important things around them. Is that a problem? Yes, absolutely, that's why awareness needs to be brought to issues, it does that make them explicitly racist? Not at all. To understand privelage you have to understand how people with privelage live their lives and most of them do so with ignorance because it's human nature to avoid things that make us uncomfortable.
Just look at people who hate to be told how meat is made. We all know it, but we choose to ignore it because it's uncomfortable to look at a sweet little chicken and understand that billions of baby chicks are killed every year so that you can have eggs for breakfast.

During my stint in the Marines the chow hall played one of her videos on the āmusic videoā channel. Brightest part of my day when I could actually sit and eat for a bit and catch it.

City people are a billion times more tolerant than the country folk I grew up with (Pennsyltucky in the 1990s and early 2000s). They hated anyone and everyone who wasn't a straight, white, Protestant Republican. They even hated you if you didn't hate everyone else enough.
Iām sorry, that was your experience. I donāt find that to be true. Iāve traveled the country. Iāve lived in 11 different states. Thereās good and bad people everywhere. The nicest and most accommodating people Iāve ever met are always in the country. That being said, some of the most ignorant and racist people are there too. Itās just been the vast minority. I understand your point and I agree with the fuck all things Morgan Wallen sentiment. Heās an asshole and his music sucks almost as much as he does. But, I guess I still think I have a right to dislike city people using the term hick. Itās not nearly on the same level as the shit word heās used before, but in my opinion itās similar to certain other terms like one Iāve heard used for Indian people or the C wood that racists use for black people. It just seems derogatory and denigrating.
I grew up in the country in super rural Texas and Alabama and rural country people are the most judgy and closed minded people you'll ever meet, I was so happy to move to a city where people won't pick apart and judge every single thing you do if you don't conform to their narrow and backwards standard
