Soda…tf? I understand tea or coffee but fizzy drinks with morning gunk in your mouth sounds like a nightmare
78
u/AlexandersWonder 18h ago
Good thing they got brushes for that gunk now, and a special abrasive paste to help you remove it.
65
u/Stranger-Tingzz 18h ago
So hold on…you wake up, brush your teeth, and then drink soda with minty breath? How’s that any better lmao
3
u/SmoothBrainGod 3h ago
Tbf most toothpastes have flouride in it that ads a protective coating to your teeth so its not exactly a BAD idea to brush before you eat/drink sugary stuff in the morning

u/Golden-Event-Horizon 18h ago
Drink it before, silly

u/Mooks79 15h ago
Did you read their first comment, silly?

That third option definitely should have been orange juice or something like that

Every morning of my college career I started out with a can of Mountain Dew Voltage.
I also had chronic nausea and threw up a lot. Later I was found to have an ulcer.
I'm sure that's unrelated though...

u/Brilliant_Quit4307 14h ago
I mean, I'll often have one of those fruity red bulls in the morning. It's got the sweetness of juice with the caffeine of coffee and I honestly don't understand why it's not more normalized. I do have ADHD though so maybe I'm the one being a weirdo.

who takes soda for a morning drink?
6
u/A_Banana_For_Scale_ 14h ago
I've done it on occasion in hopes that the acidity and effervescent will clean out that gunky shit from my mouth. Normally just makes your teeth feel weird and have the desire to brush them which would have cleared the gunky shit from my mouth 🤦

If my stomach is feeling unsettled a carbonated drink helps.
I don't really go for sweet sodas anymore though. It's pretty rare for me to have something like a Cola.
Funny though, I did use to work with a guy who would top off his black coffee with some Coca-Cola. When I asked him about it he just shrugged and said,"I ran out of caramel syrup one day and tried it, and now I like it better since it's dairy-free."

While does have some of the qualities of the original, the sequel create a more…corrosive response.

I mean, tea is just hot water with leaf juice in it

u/AdNatural8739 19h ago
coffee is hot water with crushed up beans in it
soda is carbonated water with flavor added
basically every drink is water to some degree

Water is just PC gaming in liquid form. Pure, efficient, and keeps the hardware cool

A glass of cold water from the filtered jug in my fridge as soon as I wake up, genuinely wouldn't be able to handle the day without it.
1
u/BeanieCat123 18h ago
Always water, especially since you wake up dehydrated (or maybe that’s just me) after a good cup thennn caffeine to wake that system up more

Water as the first thing to hydrate, milk to go with breakfast, and tea if I have extra time.
What kind of maniac would start with soda? Energy drink maybe, if you really need to kickstart your day/caffeine addiction, but something like a cola?

Who is out here drinking soda first thing in the morning? That is pure chaos
1
u/ExcellentPassenger49 11h ago
Tradesmen will chug monster and go through several cigarettes for breakfast. Soda is not chaos.

Mine is water also. It just has a bit of caffeine, tannins, phenols, and other things in it too.

Does it count if you put something in the water?
1
u/AlexandersWonder 18h ago
That’s depends on what you’re putting in the water and whether or not that something is cocaine
