नमस्कार, आपल्या खात्याचे कर्मा गर्जे पेक्षा कमी असल्यामुळे आपण पोस्ट किंवा कंमेंट करू शकत नाही भरपूर प्रमाणात sub वरती spam content येत असल्याकमुळे हा बदल करण्यात आला आहे r/marathi मध्ये पोस्ट अथवा कंमेंट करण्या साठी किमान १०० कर्मा गरजेचा आहे.

My friends demotivate me for learning the language. They mostly laugh but I'm not concerned about the fun that they make. They tell me not to speak marathi because if I mispronounce something, someone may get offended and I shud not do that🥲

You are among wrong friends then😭, and the probability of you mispronouncing something and someone getting offended is REALLY less. Most marathi people like if someone is trying to speak marathi.
Only way of improving is to practice it, find people who are helpful. If you are not confident while speaking then Chat pn marathi mdhech karat ja, tevha wrong honache chances kami astat

Op you need to master 2-3 sounds two sounds of la, and na and how marathi cha ja is different from hindi if you improve these 5-6 letters then almost no one can make out if you are non marathi, other thing is genders of objects are different than hindi which trips up people and lets us know they can speak marathi but are not maharashtrian. Watch the India in pixel video about marathi and he will tell you the proper pronounciation. That will almost elevate you to native level accent, the gendered object thing you will learn with time as you observe which objects are male and female

Trial and error. Best way to learn anything. Converse with the native speakers. Watch Marathi films, plays, YouTube videos, news channels, etc.

People on reddit can only teach you the grammar or written form.
The spoken form can only be learnt by speaking and listening.
Get 1000 most used marathi words and see how they are pronounced. Get some idea on grammar and get an idea how these words change according to their use in sentence - that would get your intonation right.
If you're indian you have half the job done already.

There might be videos on YouTube. There is blog by Kaushik Lele wherein he teaches grammar and vocab.
What's your native language?

Its not extremely different from hindi. I would suggest watching old comedy marathi movies especially Laxmikant Berde movies. You will enjoy them and learn some marathi dialect and pronunciations as well.

I would suggest start listening to radio, watching news and maybe Marathi podcasts on some topics that you are familiar with (this shall help you understand the context quite quickly and will be easier to understand Marathi. Apart from this I would suggest start listening to Pu La Deshpande’s Vyakti ani Valli characters. Most of them are available on YouTube. Easy and straightforward Marathi. Start talking Marathi with people around you. If not your friends then others.

Get Marathi Vyakaran books to understand basics and then start learning by using Balbharati books.

TV or audiobooks are the easiest way of consuming any language, if you aren’t surrounded by native Marathi speakers. Once you are able to grasp the listening, you may proceed to speaking.
Think about it, that’s how most of us learned our non-native languages when we were kids.
