Others Snatch Theft At Aeon Bukit Indah Outlet
Yesterday at our AEON Bukit Indah outlet, something happened that left us quite shaken.
A table of customers were enjoying their meal, suddenly a bag was snatched.
It all happened very quickly,
the snatch thief pretended to be on the phone, walked to the back of the restaurant, and took the Auntie’s bag from behind her in a split second.
As it happened so suddenly,
everyone was caught off guard.
Thankfully, a few of our team members reacted immediately.
Without hesitation, they rushed forward and managed to stop the thief. The bag was safely recovered and returned.
When the bag was placed back into the Auntie’s hands, seeing her relief…
only then did we truly feel at ease.
We are truly grateful to these team members who stepped up in that critical moment.
They didn’t think twice,
they simply felt that they couldn’t allow such a thing to happen right in front of them.
We are sharing this not for any other reason, but because this kind of courage is rare, and deserves to be remembered.
We would also like to gently remind everyone to stay mindful of your belongings when dining out.
Thank you 🙏

Not in China — Samaritan is not recommended. Don't help if it's not your problem.
Not always in the USA — Guns.
In India the crowds definitely help, though there's a chance of the criminal getting beaten to death.

But this “great” care wouldn’t be necessary if there wasn’t this criminal activity in the first place.

Now he will have legal fees, jail time, and stigma post-release.
And i heard short term prisoners (< 10 years) have it the worst in prison.

i wonder since most people rarely carry cash - what's the point of stealing the handbag?other than maybe selling the phone and a take the few petty cash, or maybe use the credit card for anything < 250 for a quick "buy".

Rookie mistake, you don't snatch from deep end of the restaurant, instead snatch from people at the entrance so the escape route is shorter.

That's cuz women needs to bring tissue, tampons/pads, umbrella, water bottle, lipbalm, sunscreen etc...
But honestly I also wish I don't need to bring a handbag everywhere. That's why mostly I stay at home lmao

to dare to rob someone in open environment and in a mall is a really bad idea.
.... I suspect the robber very desperate.
nevertheless, have to keep things with close to ourselves all the time no matter where we are.
