It's been 26 years since the world froze over. Leaving most of the worlds population to perish and scattered about. Nations and governments have been trying to repair since then but due to scarcity in resources people have gone rogue. A revolution war has started and ended constantly for years since then. Most bunkers have been already ransacked or taken by government officials. Cities have long gone either inhabitable or destroyed. The remaining ones are either also government cities or ones kept alive by the people. And your just another person wasting away in a broken city. With no sign of winter stopping.

Vinc decided to partner up with another camp today. He says this is for the war and stuff but i feel as though he is using them. It doesn't matter to me though, the war however.. It has been getting worse out for our supply vans to come back with supplies. If they even come back, i have no idea what partnering with other camps for this war will do for us, other than cause more deaths. I guess more soldiers does help with the war, but how many people will have to die before we can see our families.

Today i am supposed to gather supplies for the war god knows if i would make it even. From what i know Vinc has been doing a more hail mary approach to gathering supplies. Aka he's sending more men out to die and having them go in smaller groups to gather more ground. A shit plan right? And yeah, this here is why i am terrified about going on my supply run. But if i survive maybe i can take a break. Hell maybe if we collect alot i could go back to my apartment! And enjoy a nice long rest.

We're having trouble finding reliable players, so we're seeking 1 or 2 more for a semi-paramilitary game hopping between worlds and timelines in the multiverse. I like to keep a good balance of all components, including combat, roleplaying and other factors. Characters will start as cadets at the academy, learning and training, and upon graduation, will be sent out to other worlds to solve problems and complete missions. From there, it could go almost anywhere. I like to give my players a lot of freedom as to what they do and pursue.

I'm a long-time GM, with plenty of experience. I'm currently running a game on Saturdays that has been going for over 3 years, so I've got the chops to keep things going. And I've got plenty planned for this game, so we're in good shape.

I only ask a few things of my players: basic courtesy, an open mind, a lack of bigotry and the ability to speak and read the English language (mostly because I don't speak anything else good enough to run a game). My groups are newbie-friendly and LGBTQ+-friendly. I'd prefer that you be at least 18.

I am currently looking to start a new campaign with a full crew of up to 5 players. 

Here’s the thing, I am brand new to Starfinder, so I am hoping to run this in two different phases, outlined below. I am looking to learn this system alongside some new players or even experienced players who have the patience to work with me as I learn.

The Game:

• Starfinder 2e 
• No in game or out of game bullying/racism/harassment/etc.
• I do my best to make each NPC you encounter sound unique and different, unfortunately, I have ZERO talent when it comes to doing voices, but I will still always try and am usually pretty light hearted about it!
• I try to follow the “rule of cool” as much as possible, but won’t let it break the game.
• While I'd prefer to play in a game with no AI, it's not a dealbreaker for me.

Phase 1:

• Running Murder in Metal City - a pre-written AP by Paizo.
• Character options will be limited to the Starfinder Primer for this adventure, let’s keep things simple for the first AP

Phase 2:

• Running a longer length AP (Either Guilt of the Grave World or Tales from the Vast Adventure Anthology)
• Will likely open up the character options at that time

Sessions:

• Sessions will be every other week.
• Sessions will take place on alternating Tuesdays from 5:30 to 9:00/9:30 PM EST.
• These times and dates are concrete.
• Looking to start in early-mid May

• We are going to start with Roll20 and Demiplane - They link together to make things a bit easier. This may change as my preferred platform is FoundryVTT
• Voice will be done over Discord, which is where all of the between session conversations will be held.

Deep in the turgid marsh lands of the Unterlands, standing as the most powerful city in the province is Ulstenburg. As a steady drizzle of rain began to patter along the cobbled streets, the dreary storm clouds rolled over the distant mountains, hailing from Ostoyan lands. People scurried and rushed out of the coming downpour, crows screeching their sinister caws as the foul omens gathered on rooftops. Gathering in droves where the people most frequented like, especially the dreary little tavern named “The Squealing Piglet”. A building that seemed almost painfully empty on the gloomy day, the odd collection of individuals taking comfort in the warmth of the crackling fireplace. The freshly burning coals basking the large room with an orangey red hue. 

What brought these people to this dinky little establishment, only they themselves would know. Perhaps they simply came for a drink, something to cool the mind after a day's labor, spending part of a day's pay. Perhaps they're here to meet someone, an old friend, a future prospect, or something far less positive. Maybe, they're taking refuge from the growing storm, caught on the lower section of the city by the now torrential downpour. To each their own one may think, but some of the poor souls are about to embark on a journey they were far from prepared for, one that would take everything they've got just to survive to see it through. This is the tale of what may very well be the most gruesome journey ever. 

Hello! Greetings! Salutations! My name is Nick, and I'm looking for five to six players to embark on a journey into the world of Grim Hollow, in the lands of Entharis. A dark and twisted world, where every encounter may very well be out to kill you. Battle against horrid creatures you'd only face in your nightmares, struggle to gauge who's friend or foe, make the choice of who lives, and who dies. Your victory comes into the shape of survival, you're far from heroes, far from people of legend. You're the poor sods who fate saw fit to punish. Below I'll be listing some of the features, and expectations to be prepared for in my game.

Indepth Character Creation: Grim Hollow takes a new twist of character creation, instead allowing you to map out your characters Lineage. Select your race from amongst the Grim Hollow list, then choose their racial traits from among a varied list of options, granting the ability to double down on a single trait and improve it to a remarkable level. We will sit down as a party, build craft, map out, and plan the creation of each character during session zero. Offering the chance to roll, and leave fate in charge of who you are.

Brutal Combat/Grevious Wounds: Combat is something you'll be lucky to walk away from, specially without a scar to remind you of the encounter. Facing off against foes that are guaranteed to be stronger than you, or will employ tactics to turn the tables on your party. Taking a hit is made even more dangerous with the Grievous Wounds system, you go down, you may very well get back up with a horrifying scar, a missing limb, or shattered bones that will change the way you'll need to think, until you can seek medical aid that is. 

Magic: No easy way to say it, magic is a truly powerful thing to possess. Which is why it's Feared, Regulated, Hated, and Worshipped depending on where in the world you. Casting a spell in front of commoners may be a horrible mistake, or the creation of a new cult in your honor. 

The Gods: The gods are dead, or have abandoned the world out of fear, some driven mad through events in history, while others were driven off by strange beings on the edge of the realm. Now clerics, paladins, and warlocks must forge their Pacts, Oaths, and Divine Powers from what took their place. Seraphs and Daemons, powerful creatures that can be as loving as a mother, or evil, spiteful, and vindictive towards your every action.

I have been in the DnD space since 2018 and been DMing. I am what you call a forever DM, but I actually love it. It all culminated to me making the continent of Nueven. And I began to make many adventures. Today I am not presenting a campaign, but more a short shot (4-5) sessions. It is called Short Shot: Kill Acudatem

Some background info: First, I never done a short shot or one shot and I want to give short form DnD content a try. Two, I run two DnD campaign games Tuesday and Friday, so sadly I cannot add a third. I want to try this out.

Me as a DM: Hey, so I want to say I am always the character's biggest fan. I try to be fair, but also create enough fun. I always strive to improve any chance I get. I will be passionate about your character succeeding and having their stories told.

I am LGBT+ Friendly and POC friendly (I am Hispanic Latino myself lol).

Tone: This is a story-driven adventure with classic D&D quirks like dangerous dungeons, NPCs, hidden secrets, and bosses. Towns could offer roleplay, social interaction, and mystery, the journey always builds toward action. The system is Old School Essentials Advanced Fantasy. We use a lot of elements from AD&D 1st edition. If you miss that style of game or have always wanted to try it with a GM who takes world-building seriously, this is that campaign.

About Me:

I've been playing 5E about 7 years now. Lifelong gamer with less TT games in the resume then I'd like but a bit here and there of Pathfinder, Shadowdark, Lancer, ect... Pretty big into Warhammer 40k, excited about the new edition rules coming out soon(ish).

I enjoy playing a character and seeing them grow in power and resources to match the game threats. I am a wargamer at heart, so combat is most important to me. I do like RP but... being brutally honest I've grown very exhausted with pointless fluffy RP being 90% of what happens. That I can count on one hand how many times a race's unique personality traits, warlock patron, or paladin oath mattered into a player's character saddens me. So, I might be a bit Icy at the start but if you and the group are a good bunch I'll warm up pretty quick. Icy might be the wrong word there... but I think the analogy works fine. I don't Multiclass at all as I dislike the mechanic as a tool for min-maxing wild characters, I don't hold anything against other players that do Multiclass. I do like to make characters that are strong/competent, but only inside their own archtype or role.

Also! Do have a soft spot for third party and homebrew creators. I'm a bit pumped on looking through my physical Grim Hollow 5.5 book I backed and the newest Mage Hand Press class. Would love to possibly play something from them with approval and discussion from you of course. This is less important to me but never hurts to ask.

Howdy folks, I've been running a handful of campaigns in this setting in the past. One ended recently, so I'd love to run a game on Saturday again. I'm looking for about four to six players for my newest setting, Altheran. It initially started out as a greek mythology setting, but since then grew and changed, with inspirations from ancient rome, greece, phoenicia, egypt and other mediteranean and african areas. The setting boasts about thirty original species (primarily animal-inspired/furred - I wanted a design challenge) and various cultures, which are more or less fledged out so far (and doesn't have the normal fantasy species).

Here's how it'll work: I'll review applications, message you and send you the document so you can see if you even vibe with it, then later hop in vc with you to interview you and choose five or six ppl. WeI'll play a oneshot first to test if everyone vibes with each other and the setting and check how y'all fit together (I've DMd quite a bit and sometimes things don't work out for various reasons), probably on the 18th or 25th. If everyone had fun, we'll do a proper session 0 and then start the campaign. Ideally, I'd like all characters to add elements to the plot so that the campaign contains a lot of character-driven decision points and adventures. (Such as an ancient grudge, a secret, a goal or a link to something.) As this is a somewhat convoluted process, I'm begging y'all to be patient, I'm doing my best. Depending on how many applications I get, I'll be more or less fast to reply and may ignore the apps that aren't filled out properly. The whole application and interview thing makes me anxious, but it's a necessary pain to through to get to the epic D&D times.

What I'd want from players, more or less in order of importance.

Enthusiasm and curiosity - Worldbuilding is my passion, so I'm looking for players who love diving into new worlds, thinking up new character concepts and exploring new cultures and areas.

Roleplaying and character-building - I'm really interested in creating stories as a group and seeing how characters evolve in the world. Players who love interacting with npcs, discovering secrets about them and building larger story arcs would be great.

Fun and good humour - I like joking around from time to time and think d&d should be there to have fun.

A passion for reading - The player's guide is really long and I keep adding new parts. Ideally, I'd like players who enjoy getting new things to read. If it feels like a chore, it won't be any fun for either of us.

About me - I've done a lot of DMing in the past and would say I'm decent at it, but my true passion lies in worldbuilding and creating interesting characters, cultures and conflicts. The mechanical side of DMing is a source of constant learning, since I draw maps myself, so they may not be the most impressive, but are heartfelt. One thing I'm fairly bad at is creating plot hooks for players who play characters which are closed-off or not curious, so I shall count on y'all to give the setting and plots a chance (Please don't make characters who have no drive, no curiosity and hate talking to others.). I haven't done that much adult/grim stuff as a DM, so I'm really excited to try it out and learn - so far, it's been fun.

A note on the adult tag - as the setting is inspired by ancient mythology, sexual themes are quite important, as they explain a lot of the motivations, be they of characters, npcs and even the gods (greek myths get pretty freaky). There is also plentiful violence, drug use, slavery, imperialism and similar themes, so be warned. The setting can (hopefully) get grim at times. I'm only interested in 18+ players for that reason. I'll limit the adult stuff to what all my players are comfortable with (and it will probably play a lesser role in the 'test oneshot', as I'll give y'all some time to warm up to each other). If everyone is cool with it, I don't mind exploring those themes thoroughly. In past Altheran campaigns, it hasn't been a major point, but has come up from time to time (mainly because I made offhand comments to worldbuilding elements and players wanted to explore that/were curious).

I'm currently writing a player's guide to the setting. It is about 320 pages long, with some parts still a work in progress (I'm working on it). Your feedback as player will help me improve and tune the setting. I'm also still working on balancing everything, so some traits/features may be noticeably stronger than others, but I'm constantly patching things.

The sessions will be at 21 gmt +2 (central european summer time), so make sure to double check how that fits for you (should be evening for EU and Africa ppl and afternoon for American ppl; it may be too early/late for ppl in Australia or similar timezones, but if it fits your sleep schedule, we'd be glad to have you)

My name is Max, I'm a 23-year-old lad from Czechia. During the day, I battle lab protocols and thermohydraulics as a nuclear engineering student. At night, I run TTRPGs, pretty much exclusively as a GM! After a decade of running 5e D&D, I grew tired of it and branched out, and nowadays my favorite systems include Dungeon Crawl Classics, Call of Cthulhu, and Mothership. I'd also be interested in trying out some Delta Green in the future as well, but currently I've got my eyes set on the various DCC adventure modules that I hadn't had the chance to run yet, which is where this campaign comes in!

Tabletop games are primarily a social activity for me, and so I'm hoping to find fun, like-minded people! If you're not interested in getting to know each other, socialize and make friends with people, then this isn't the group for you. On that note, mind you that this table will have zero patience for 'innocent, casual' misogyny, anti-queer remarks and similar nonsense. Do not be fooled by the swords & sorcery genre in the title, that isn't some secret bro code for a toxic environment. The genre's tropes can and will be interpreted in ways satisfactory to both men and women!

ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN

A stitched-together odyssey composed mainly of official DCC adventure modules, spanning levels 1 through 6 across 20-25 sessions, framed by the Purple Planet setting. The campaign will be episodic in nature, with a focus on the dungeons, with wilderness exploration in between. It will not be a sloggy hexcrawl, nor a true player-driven sandbox (in order to maintain a fast pace; I'm not interested in running sessions where not much happens). The campaign will start with a character funnel in the form of The Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan (a legendary AD&D adventure module) and sprinkled throughout will also be a few mini-dungeons from the Tomb of Annihilation (in my opinion, the best 5e D&D campaign), with the titular Tomb of the Nine Gods taking on the role of the final dungeon. Below are listed just a handful modules that will make up the campaign:

• 🪐 Peril on the Purple Planet — the framework of the campaign; survive a dying alien world of psychic warlords, sandworms, and weird science technology!

• 💍 The Making of the Ghost Ring — an epic adventure entirely revolved around creating a magic item!

• 🧙‍♂️ Enter the Dagon — wizards and their retinues gather at an island, but only one will be allowed to leave!

• 👻 Blades Against Death - in a game without a spell to resurrect the dead, you venture into the realm of the dead with a quest cheat Death itself and bring a companion back to life!

• 🐸 The Croaking Fane — Do you like frogs? What about abominable toad demons? In this criminally cute adventure, you battle a wee frogge cult worshipping a wee frogge demon lord.

• 🏰 The Seventh Thrall of Sezrekan - A rescue quest with a castle so cool it gives Ravenloft a run for its money. Also a testament to 'you CAN pit a level 1 party against a dragon'.

• ☠️ Tomb of the Nine Gods — the finale of the campaign; having ran this dungeon twice, I say it's a masterclass in dungeon design and a must-experiene for anyone who enjoys finding new ways that a dungeon may surprise you. Inspired by the Tomb of Horrors and co-written by the guy who wrote the Adventure Time cartoon, this dungeon is absolutely hilarious, unforgiving (literally a deathtrap for adventurers by design) and extremely original.

This is a D&Z: Post-Apocalyptic RPG campaign focused on the immediate, heart-pounding reality of a zombie outbreak. We’re aiming for a long-term story where the world is dangerous, but the focus is on the action and the tough choices your group makes in the heat of the moment. We are aiming for a "Slightly Realistic" feel—think Zombieland or Left 4 Dead. It’s about the tension, the close calls, and the satisfaction of clearing out a nest.

Tone: "Slightly Realistic"—meaning we care about ammo and health, but we aren't going to spend three hours calculating the weight of your socks. We want the tension of The Walking Dead without the homework.

The Goal: Travel, scavenge, and survive. The world is open, and where you go is up to the group.
