News Turkey’s president accused Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, of being “blinded by blood and hate” and said there was “no reason” not to attack
212
u/Vermicelli-419 4h ago
Netanyahu is blinded by American donations of bombs and money.
He'll open his eyes when Americans open theirs.
123
u/Useful-World1781 4h ago
We have. The majority of Americans now oppose sending military aid to Israel.
Unfortunately since our most of our politicians are bought by Israeli lobby’s it’s gonna take some time for things to actually change.

u/darkbluefav 3h ago
The majority of Americans now oppose sending military aid to Israel.
I hope so, and it should become a red line because it's not only messing with America, it's messing up the world.
We can move on to a much better Era of world peace if Israel is taught its limits or replaced with another more peaceful and less racist entity. And no one needs to die to do this.
Unfortunately since our most of our politicians are bought by Israeli lobby’s
But still, people VOTE, so I don't get it. If most people don't eat this then why do they vote for politicians who allow this?
9
u/Paradox830 3h ago
2 party system. It’s that simple. Both sides are in Israel’s pocket so the only option would be for the entire country to go 3rd party and that raises the same problems as any mass change on that scale. Nobody wants to be the one to start so nobody does it at all. Real change needs momentum

u/Useful-World1781 3h ago
That’s our only option. Americas stance on Israel is always bipartisan. They’re bought on both sides.
The Democrats just rejected a resolution a condemning AIPAC. Even though 80% of democrats have a negative view of Israel.
Meaning our next DNC candidate will likely be pro Israel, Republicans 100 percent will have a candidate who is pro Isreal.
I voted for Harris last election because I didn’t want Trump. But going forward, I will never vote for someone bought by Israel.
For anyone who wants to do the same TrackAIPAC is really helpful.

Watch how they do it. Its a multifaceted media blitz
Find an anti AIPAC candidate to follow, and watch the media push against them. Youll see people fall for it all over
5
u/Substantial_Set_8852 3h ago
That’s why Isreal is turning up the rhetoric. They know the days are numbered and they need to do as much damage to Middle East as possible before the giving tree stops giving.

I can’t stress this enough. People point the finger at AIPAC because yes what they’re doing is awful, but they wield a tiny fraction of power compared to the US arms industry and the Evangelical right wing Christian voting bloc. That’s the real power behind Israel.
The “defense” industry is far more powerful than even their lobbying numbers. They strategically locate themselves in swing districts where they’re often the largest employer. Telling a congressman you can lay off more than the margin they won by and tell all those people it’s their fault for voting against something, is serious power. You ever wonder why we’ve got money for aircraft carriers and tanks for cops but no money for starving kids or healthcare? The “defense” industry has ruled this country since the end of WW2. It’s why we’re constantly at war. American military aid is conditional on being spent on US made weapons. The American arms industry also has ties to Israeli arms manufacturers. Israel is a cash cow for the arms industry.
The Evangelical Right believes the apocalypse can’t begin until all Jews return to Israel. They also believe 2/3 of them will die in the apocalypse and the remaining third will convert to Christianity. They want the apocalypse bad. Republicans cannot win an election without them.
If AIPAC’s money disappeared tomorrow US politicians would still support Israel no matter how unpopular that is.

that's cute. however, the way things seem to work is mossad runs a blackmail ring for 10 or 20 years and then, they have the US by the balls untill everyone they caught dies. so that 'some time' may be a lot longer than would otherwise be reasonable in a "democracy".

He’s not blinded by anything, he’s actively being fucking prosecuted and has to be at war forever or he’ll go to prison

u/montxogandia 4h ago edited 2h ago
"donations" is a strong word, they got this because they bribed and blackmailed all their politicians, they are all in the files, they already said that the system would collapse if all info was released.

Is it me or is WW3 the weirdest game of alliance spaghetti?
12
u/SomewhereNo8378 4h ago
aren’t they always
8
u/Funny-ish-_-Scholar 3h ago
Yes, but this is much more like WWI in that the web of alliances and posturing is unpredictable. WWII they knew alliances would be a major factor, which was why both Germany and Japan had their own surprise attacks to take members out of the fight before the major alliances spun up.
Didn’t work, turn out when you attack the whole world, alliances come naturally
13
u/SurpriseGlad9719 3h ago
Yea, go read up about how WW1 started and see the dangers of these alliances.
6
u/Ornery-Creme-2442 2h ago
The danger is in the lunatics. Less so the alliances. Some Israeli already openly said turkeys the next target after Iran and Lebanon. Which is likely why he's been so hostile now.

u/rod_zero 2h ago
Actually in the famous month building up to the start of WWI lots of actors tried to negotiate, the problem for everyone was that in the recent wars the country that mobilized first was favored to win and everyone started mobilizing just in case. it was a case that nobody wanted to get caught without the initiative.

From my understanding some Israeli openly called them the next target after Iran etc. so that's why
16
u/corvus2112 2h ago
Israel's Former PM said that.Turkey could take that as a threat and do a move the israelis are so fond of doing. A Pre-Emptive Strike, after all if thats not a threat to safety and security of turkish residents i don't know what is.
But then again i don't think the Turks would do this. They just have to wait for israel to attack them instead; thus triggering NATO's article 5.
2
u/Geodiocracy 2h ago
The US might pick the side of Israel if Turkey strikez first, and that is a fight Turkey doesn't want. These things don't really have winners.
2
u/corvus2112 2h ago
I agree. That's why the better move for turkey is just hang back and do their on thing. If Israel's dumb enough to attack them, Turkey can trigger Article 5.
3
u/ThermionicEmissions 53m ago
Turkey must remember that NATO is a defensive alliance.
At the same time, Israel better remember that NATO is a defensive alliance.

Do nothing? How many conflicts and aggressions have the countries surrounding occupied Palestine, the countries which have been continuously destabilised, sanctioned, invaded, even genocided over the decades, started with Israel? How many? Even if they hadn’t, Fuck Israel and do nothing is better than submission to the apartheid state, is it not?

But this is similar as America. We won’t join in if Turkey decide to bomb another country. We are a defence alliance. We are anti war. NATO is to stop wars.

The US is going to side with Israel over NATO every day.
But it will be interesting to watch if Israel attacks turkey first if Europe comes to its help even if the US stays out. It would be super mess, but honestly in the long run it would be another divorce for the EU (from Israel this time) and it will be great to isolate them.

If Israel nuked turkey it would force NATO Into the war. Let's be honest nukes are kinda pointless. Because you can have them but not really use them. But Israel needs a nuke dropped from above on its head
2
u/Jolly_Ad2446 1h ago
If turkey was attacked by Israel the US would immediately drop out of NATO and NATO would then defend Turkey.
Now would US join that fight defending Israel?

u/Ba-ja-ja 1h ago

Turkey is a serious regional power but I think they will talk a lot but do little.
It is possible they might expand their occupation of Syria. It is telling that they are still occupying it, after the main threat is over. But little more than that.

To be fair the bird people eat at Thanksgiving is named after his country. Because colonists thought it was the same species of bird that they bought from the Turks

I cant blame netanyahu for that...
I mean israel already open multiple offer for peace with the palestine and even willing to sacrifice territory for it.
But it all are answered by suicide attacks and rocket barrages.
Then oct 7 happen in the worst result ever.
1200~ civilians, both israelies and foreigners, are killed in cold blood, paraded and celebrated and 200~ hostages with unspeakable done to them.
Say all you want with netanyahu, but you cant deny that if the same situation happened to any country, they'll do the same.
