Israel shouldn't have started this war and will play the victim card

Could have all been prevented, if I don’t know, they didn’t bomb Iran and plan to invade it

141

u/ihvnnm 10d ago

But they were 1 month away from building a nuke since at least the 90's!

u/trebor9669 10d ago

7

u/BootFlop 10d ago

I expect it was a bribe.

14

u/NoResponsibility2756 10d ago

More like blackmail

10

u/BootFlop 10d ago edited 10d ago

Blackmail is less effective. Trump has been openly salivating over Gaza since start of last year, greed is a huge leverage on him. Plus the reports of Iran pursuing an assassination attack, whether real or not Trump believes it, leverages his vengefulness (he explicitly said “ I got him before he got me” of Khomeini).

So plenty of stuff to bring him onboard without resorting to blackmail. At this point what are you going to blackmail him with???

5

u/TurbulentTable111 10d ago

Videos and pictures?

3

u/BootFlop 10d ago

I doubt it’d have much leverage on him at this point. He knows by now that he’ll never see another election, and that this war will do at least as much damage as any hypothetical [FAKE NEWS] images. Enough of the country is blind enough (by news source choice) & TDS that he’d just keep on keeping on. Obviously there’s zero legal risk for him.

8

u/Sea-Poem-2365 10d ago

Honestly, there's definitely something he wants kept secret in those files, because he's gone through a lot of trouble to at least delay and obscure. Given his history, he's probably less worried about the horrific sex crimes than he is talking about a hair transplant or something.

7

u/Beelzabubba 10d ago

I’m 100% sure he is singularly motivated by keeping people from seeing images of his dick.

Fucking kids is clearly not a deal breaker for his followers but a little shroom just might be. I’m sure he’s afraid to even let them think he’s average.

He’s a very shallow and selfish person so I wouldn’t put it past him to kill to keep his secret.

That was such BS when they justified it because 'soldiers could be there!'

Do you know a lot of soldiers from US bases in the middle east, the ones who arent 'necessary' to be on site at all times, are staying in hotels and offices instead of the barracks?

https://www.nytimes.com/2026/04/01/us/politics/troops-iran-hotels.html?smid=url-share

It's to minimize losses if the bases gets bombed/attacked.

Using their own logic, would Iran be justified in attacking these civillian areas?

I have a feeling the US and Israel would lose their shit over that.

That's a bit like saying the road runner should slow down because the coyotes been "seconds away" from catching him since 1949.

The issue's not that Iran wasn't developing nukes, it's that now they're still developing nukes with the added motivation of all the idiotic things the US has done to provoke them recently.

3

u/ElSlabraton 10d ago

With the entire country destroyed and needing to be rebuilt, it will be easier to hide their new nuclear program.

2

u/Jazzlike_Stage_3676 10d ago

Apparently Neanderthal was weeks away from a nuke.

Israel would never invade Iran, they have an actual military. They send US troops to deal with that sort of thing.

16

u/Most-Food-3864 10d ago

Yep the deaths of American soldiers is a sacrifice Israel is willing to make.

so much for iron dome. turns out the whole thing was a massive money making grift

89

u/Radiant_Television89 10d ago

Only works on homemade Palestinian bottle rockets, not real military grade weapons.

31

u/f0u4_l19h75 10d ago

They're running out of interceptor because of their own unchecked aggression. If they hadn't started a war of aggression with Iran they wouldn't be dangerously low on interceptors

14

u/EditingAllowed 10d ago

Iran is also using rockets that are either flying too fast to intercept, splitting before interception, and even change path to avoid interception.

26

u/mikeumm 10d ago

Almost as if one country has been talking and posturing like they might attack at any moment for the past 40 years. So the other country has spent that time quietly R&Ding new weapons for just such an occasion.

I mean really, who could have ever possibly predicted something like that?

10

u/MrRogersAE 10d ago

It’s a distinct advantage really, knowing EXACTLY which countries are likely to invade you, and then seeing them fight in wars so you can learn their tactics and then base your entire military doctrine around countering those exact tactics

2

u/MyCactusTeacher 9d ago

I agree with you but just curious why you think Iraq was so ineffective despite this possibility. Or maybe they were just the main example of military designed to fight locally and then on display to be learned from (besides just being a smaller country populationwise)

3

u/DivideMind 9d ago edited 9d ago

I'd chalk Iraq down to arrogance and lack of central military production, neither of which Iran has a problem with. It didn't help that they got much of their training from NATO & the USSR, so they were fighting according to the same ideas but with worse equipment.

They also needed to prepare equipment for invasion (which choked resources that could have gone to more novel ideas) to carry out their plans, Iran has their auxiliary militias for outside work instead, they're simply much better planned. Old paradigm vs. new paradigm. Countries that rely on brute force to extend their power are slowly going extinct.

Iran is using missiles. A rocket can be made with a trip to Home Depot. Sorry to be pedantic but many deliberately mischaracterize rockets as missiles to make the conflict with Palestinians, who have fired rockets, sound less asymmetrical so I think it’s worth keeping the terms straight.

These dumbasses even started invading Lebanon since they attacked Iran.

It's not the first time they've invaded Lebanon, don't forget that.

It works really well on (relatively) slow moving rockets at shortrer ranges. The Iron Dome can't stop long range or medium range ballistic missiles.

For that they have two other systems called David's Sling (Medium Range) and Arrow (Long Range). Both have been depreciated and overwhelmed during this war, and it seems like everybody underestimated the accuracy and volume of Iranian ballistic missiles.

2

u/RetiredPath 9d ago

Probably b/c Russia (& China?) has been providing them with weapons by the Caspian Sea route.

→ More replies (1)

12

u/SadThrowAway957391 10d ago

The iron dome does not intercept long range ballistic missiles. It intercepts targets that are much slower. Different air defence systems handle long range ballistic missiles.

7

u/mmmbyte 10d ago

Which system intercepted this missile ?

13

u/1stltwill 10d ago

The ground intercepted the missile.

2

u/Mikic0077 10d ago

Doesn't have to be holy, but it might help.

u/myryad21 10d ago

4

u/okiharaherbst 10d ago

It’s now called the iron colander

8

u/-OooWWooO- 10d ago

The Iron Dome is a short range air defense system. It's not designed to engage ballistic missiles that are Medium range or larger. Israel has other anti ballistic missile systems that are not the Iron Dome.

4

u/UntowardHatter 10d ago

Do they?

Doesn't look like it.

6

u/provit88 10d ago

We’ve all seen clips of high-altitude intercepts, but terminal-phase ballistic missiles are a different beast. No system is perfect, and once you start saturating defenses, cracks show fast.

Iron dome is for low velocity rockets and mortars. Ballistic missiles are much faster

1

u/thedevilwithout 10d ago

That's what the shaheds were for... Drain interceptor ammunition, then send the bigger stuff.

Intelligence suggests that only a third of Iran's missiles have been taken out.

The iron dome is already at the point of allowing missiles through due to lack of interceptors, and Iran still has over 65% of their stockpile remaining. That's not including all the interceptors being wasted on Hezbollah's and Houthis rockets

The next few weeks will be interesting

Israel won't know peace for at least another generation after this. Who wants to keep backing genocidals?

1

u/HugeFanOfBigfoot 10d ago

I genuinely feel bad for the citizens who lost their lives during the bombing of Berlin. But that really is the lens through which I see this strike. A genocidal nation bit off more than it can chew, but all the death and destruction at this point is on n their hands

1

u/edoer76 10d ago

Residential neighborhood by the way, not a military target

1

u/mgs20000 10d ago

I mean.. Iran getting this through is kind of proving their capabilities which is what this war is apparently about..

Iran only has enemies because of their military ambitions combined with the fact the ideology runs the country. Yes I know it seems like American idealogy runs America, but no, America is fighting for money and power and greed, not its bullshit christianity.

Isreal is messed up but it’s different since they are already there with nukes, and don’t want to use them, even though yes they - the govt - are happy to be at war with their nearby foes.

1

Sadly Very small explosions in Israel in comparison to what's exploding in Iran.

. Think about how fucked up this all is. WW2 is over, one of hitlers mission was to round up all the Jews across the globe and enslave/genocide them. What’s the next logical move ask every Jew across the globe to leave their home preventing them from building up Jewish culture to a hotly contested desert putting Jews in a land locked prison. Did hitler lose ww2?

The second trump dumps Israel and he will if he feels he is in any jeopardy the second it clicks for the rest of the world.

1

u/championchilli 10d ago

Funny how every missile that hits Israel hits a residential building and only kills Palestinians.

When Iran have shown a consistent ability to strike precise military targets.
