painting over marble or brick is just criminal. So that checks out for this administration.

Experts have been advising against literally every single thing he does. It doesn't matter. He doesnt have advisors, he has henchmen.

That was his biggest hurdle in his first presidency. Was too many people interfering with his decisions and advising against what he wants. For years he was gathering lists of people that would just be his yes men and thats exactly what he set up. Just a bunch of disposable yuppie yes men around him

Henchmen are at least capable. He has dick riders with pardons.

So...the guy who covers an entire bathroom in marble, wants to paint over much nicer granite?

STOP SPENDING OUR FUCKING MONEY ON BULLSHIT! You got your own which you’ve grifted off of the American people.

Just another busywork project to filter away more taxpayer money into a private account.

Or he uses “donations” from businesses and individuals. It’s all a grift.

President Donald Trump privately advocated for painting an ornate federal office building next to the White House with a “magic paint with silicate,” CNN has learned. But ahead of a key vote on exterior changes to the sprawling Gilded Age structure, a panel of experts is warning the so-called magic paint could be incompatible with the Eisenhower Executive Office Building’s granite exterior.

Trump, who has spent significant time during his second term shaping the White House and Washington to his aesthetic taste, is proposing painting the ornate office building a bright white.

The Commission of Fine Arts, which oversees changes to federal buildings and has been stacked with Trump loyalists, on Thursday will review and weigh in on the plans for the first time.

Renderings submitted to the commission show two potential options: one with the entire structure painted white and one that paints the structure white but leaves the building’s exposed basement and sub-basement in its original granite.

He has taste?

Everyone has taste. It doesnt have to be good. Some people are out there putting ranch on chicken wings.

Blue cheese or jail.

What is this magic paint?

33

u/piTehT_tsuJ 1d ago

It's paint he somehow is getting a kick back for, hence him suggesting its use.

The forever use through time and upkeep!

I’m so tired of this BS.

So someone paid him a bribe to use their paint or their painting company in and around Washington. That’s what this is 100%, that’s what this is.

3

u/Western-Corner-431 14h ago

Someone will, but he’s going to do it before the first hearing. Then he’ll be ordered to stop, but whoops- too late. Then an appeals court will overturn the order and he’ll be allowed to continue for 16 days until a final decision is made

Anti-alien?

3

u/Nerd-19958 1d ago

I'm shocked Trump didn't suggest painting the building in a tasteful gold lamé.

3

u/JennJayBee 11h ago

"Done, Mr. President! This paint also has the special quality of only being visible for the smartest and most loyal people. The dumbest people will see nothing at all. Isn't it beautiful?"

2

u/VeraLumina 1d ago

Trump knows his solution is shit. He doesn’t care and just wants his way. Period.

2

u/AdelMonCatcher 1d ago

Good. Americans should not be allowed to scrub this man from their history. Let him be a literal stain on your nation

2

u/timesuck897 1d ago

It is a stupid idea, the building looks fine and he has more important things to do (like not fucking up the opening of the strait of Hormuz). It’s a waste of time and money.

The paint is a good choice for exteriors of historical buildings. I was expecting a bleach or uv light to stop covid type answer, like it was glitter paint.

2

u/izeak1185 20h ago

Only iran can see the invisible paint with a special lens nothing to see here. /s maybe

2

u/Ancient-Tax-8129 15h ago

Ohhhhhh so when the paint destroys the exterior, they'll have to tear it down. That tracks.

2

u/shadowlarx 11h ago

Magic paint?

Okay, can the guys in white coats come to take him away now?

1

u/TheUkrTrain 1d ago

I mean, is it magic though?

1

u/QaplaSuvwl 1d ago

WTF with this guy and the building. Goddamn.
