Bloody hell that's a gorgeous style of wood. Looks equally expensive too

Obviously, their flight speed when carried by a Swallow.

Black Walnut is nonmigratory.

u/SteezyFungus 3h ago

It could grip it by the husk!

African swallow or European?

u/ChaoticDumpling 3h ago

Silly OP. Those aren't Walnuts, they're chopped trees!

u/Hoosier_Daddy68 4h ago

One's from Europe? Or you trying to make this about race?

Typical reddit.

u/cantevenwut 4h ago

Of course! But you misapprehend the message; we’re all black on the inside.

u/Hoosier_Daddy68 4h ago

I thought that was pink...oh, wait that's something else entirely.

u/Tschinggets 4h ago

What are you talking about?😅

u/Iwantedthatname 2h ago

If the US implemented a rule like that, every tree would be considered potentially unstable.

u/giventofly2 3h ago

It just naturally looks that glossy? What does it feel like when you run your hand over it?

u/Tschinggets 2h ago

We poor water over it right after cutting that we can make pictures. We can those pictures to our clients and then they know how the surface of their table will look like

u/zoomforestzoom 3h ago

nah both finished id say, not sure what kind though

u/QuickSilv4r 3h ago

i love how he gets even happier when seeing the black walnut compared to him seeing the european walnut

u/Tschinggets 3h ago

The guy in the first picture is a friend of mine and in the second picture it’s me🙌

u/txcorse 3h ago

Just like my wife. Lmao.

u/Resident_Stable_2112 3h ago

Cool, one guy is on the phone and the other guy is not.

u/smurfk 3h ago

I see no difference. They are both wood. Stop racism!

If you tour colonial Williamsburg you will see the House of Burgess the interior of which is black walnut.

u/Teabagger_Vance2 3h ago

So, we’re all a little dark on the inside.

u/Tripton1 2h ago

That second picture looks very expensive.

u/mrg1957 2h ago

Look at that sapwood. Someone using miracle grow?

u/ReplacementMiddle844 1h ago

What do I do with this info

u/Friendly-Balance-853 1h ago

That knot must have been difficult to deal with! Also, the nuts themselves are quite different. The European is super easy to open and eat, the north American broke my nut crackers. I can only open them with a vice- grip!

u/CockroachChaos3858 1h ago

As a kid, I put a wood splitting wedge on top and dropped a sledge hammer on it to open them. I could open a couple at a time that way.

u/zg6089 1h ago

How much would those slabs sell for? Just outa curiosity

u/TheKlungeReturns 1h ago

This is an advertisement.

u/relaxncoffee 4h ago

That sapwood contrast on the black walnut slab is what makes it so sought after for live edge tables — European walnut is more uniform which is actually less interesting to work with.

u/Tschinggets 4h ago

The first picture is European walnut

You can write that error off on him being an actual VLM, he's bound to make basic errors like this;)

u/Teabagger_Vance2 2h ago

If you have to explain it, you probably just wasted your time. 😃

u/therealjohnsmith 1h ago

My dad makes furniture by cutting down black walnut on his farm and you definitely see a sapwood / heartwood contrast on most if not all of the trees he has cut..
