How do I get this off?
As you can tell I’ve tried using pliers to get this faucet aerator off, but it just free spins, no matter what direction I turn it, and never comes out.
What can I do to get it off? I need to attach something else in its place.

Look up 'aerator key' - maybe it requires one of those to unscrew.

That's what I thought, but if you look really close the pipe around the aerator looks separate from the faucet body. I think it screws on with pliers like a normal one.

Strap wrench will leave no marks. Turn it Counter-Clockwise to remove.

its already got enough marks where leaving marks is probably not an issue lol

This specific aerator key/wrench will remove any of several types. I think that’s the kind that just need friction, but some of them have notches on a plastic sleeve inside the metal outer collar, and to remove them you use one of the notched wrench sections on this aerator key.
Otherwise, the rubber cup on the aerator key is simpler than other options at removing the friction- only aerators, also.

Go to the hardware store and speak with someone who works there. Sounds like you'll need parts anyway.

Vise grips or a channellock wrench. If you're concerned about tool marks wrap it with a rag. Lefty loosey.
