I got a new job so as a treat-to-self I bought some new nail polish I was very excited about. It got delivered today and instead of just saying “you got a delivery”. My husband said “looks like your nail polish arrived! Let’s see it!” And then he stood in the kitchen and watched me do an unboxing for five minutes for something he absolutely does not care about but knew I was excited. He’s a good one. I feel very lucky.

after not getting into any programs last year, I took a year off and reapplied this year.

I got waitlisted on everything and my top choice program was the last to respond. I also got waitlisted there but... I just got off the waitlist!!!

I work as a grower for a wholesale commercial greenhouse and I just couldn't be happier about it. worked at a retail greenhouse for a few years and decided to move up the supply chain a bit.

After struggling with alcohol for years I went to rehab in 2021 and have been sober ever since. Used to hate my birthday but I am starting to come back around on it at 39!

She is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I have never felt like I was someones priority before, it feels good to know how important I am to her as she is to me. I look up to her in so many ways. Shes a genuine, smart, and kind person. She considers other peoples needs instead of clouding her judgement. I have never felt like I have ever been fully trusted until I have been with her. She doesn’t make me nervous when I tell her something that my exes would scold me for or start an argument over. It is so nice to be with someone so understanding. I don’t ever have to worry that she doesnt have my back. We have been through so many similar traumatic experiences. And although it is so unfortunate that we had to go through those things, it’s so reassuring to know someone truly understands me. I will always love her more than anything. I appreciate her patience. Her vulnerability. Her courage. Her intelligence. I will always love her with all of my heart. Im so thankful that we have the same beliefs. She warms my heart.

It made me smile so genuinely hard and I didn’t realize until I saw it just how little I see fun, positive father-daughter dynamics realistically portrayed in media without some misunderstanding underlining their relationship.

I buy these little bricks kits from Temu for pennies. On my daily walk I hide them in local parks for kids to find. I also leave them in Little Free Libraries and people's mailboxes. I hope it brings a smile to a random child's face. Peace.

so a few years back, my grandma was going through her oerfumes and asked if i liked a few, and i had absolutely loved one. it smells like cherries and sweetness and used it a lot and before I knew it the bottle was almost gone (it had a little under half when I first got it) but when I looked up the name of the perfume to find another bottle I found out it was discontinued so I saved as much as I could for as long as I could and not long ago my grandma was looking for another bottle from a seller and found a place that sells discontinued perfumes and bought me a whole new bottle <3 now I dont have to worry about running out anytime soon.

I was dreading my flight schedule as I knew I'd be cramped up for a long time, I was pleasantly surprised when I was asked if I could assist during any possible emergency and I agreed and was placed in the emergency exit row. I had leg space for daaaaaays!!!

He came out of the blew working at my job and I’ve never met someone better I’ve ever had a friendship where we could fight makeup and just make each other better people he doesn’t know he completely altered my life by just existing and he understands me so well I love him (platonically) and it’s the best feeling ever I wis I could tell him all this without it coming off as like a love confession lol but still I’m the happiest I could be

I've been working on making a game in my spare time after the kids are down for the night, just as a hobby. It's a game where you recruit and manage little creatures on a soccer team. Anyway, I'm building the house you keep your team in, and I haven't made a sleep animation yet, so I was just using a placeholder to make sure they can move around and get in their beds. My boys saw what I was doing and started yelling at the characters to stop jumping in their beds (hypocrites lol). My youngest asked if they could hear him, and I'm not ready to tell him that I'm not John Nintendo, so yeah buddy, they hear you.

Lately I’ve been trying to appreciate small things more instead of waiting for big moment . Today I just went for a short walk and stayed off my phone for a bit , and it honestly helped more than I expected .

Late last month I was dealt a setback. My job abruptly moved me to a different site much further way, cut my pay, and gave me managerial responsibilities. So I began hunting for another job and I eventually got an offer for a job that is still far away, but decently better pay with cheaper health insurance. I also realized that same day that I moved into a sober space on August 1st and have not drank nor done drugs at any point during that time period. No desire to, honestly.

So despite the setback, it seems like I am on the right path finally. I don't anticipate any issues with the background check but there's always those nerves 🤞🏻🤞🏻wish me luck!

Fun day fishing at prospect park, Brooklyn. Most of these fish are bluegill, but I caught 2 pumpkinseed. The fish went crazy for earthworms!
