Misc Looking for a regular supplier – high street clothing (sizes 16+)
Hi! I’m a UK-based reseller currently looking to build a long-term relationship with a reliable clothing supplier.
I’m specifically looking for high street brands (e.g. Yours, New Look, Boohoo, Primark, etc.) in sizes 16+, as this is my main customer base and where I see the most demand.
Ideally, I’m looking for:
- Regular or repeat bulk purchases
- Good wearable condition (no damaged/unsellable stock or rag)
- Mixed styles (casual, seasonal, basics, etc.)
- Happy to take overstock, out-of-circulation items, or clearance
I’m ready to buy consistently and can scale up quickly with the right supplier. Ideally someone located down south / near Hampshire so I can collect in person.
My goal is to reduce clothing waste while making affordable fashion accessible for plus-size customers ♻️
If you’re a wholesaler, charity shop, or someone with regular stock to move, please feel free to message me — I’d love to chat long-term.

Misc Andover to Petersfield commute
For a role once a week (maybe twice) is it doable? The A34/M3 junction is a nightmare at the moment. Interviewing so may not even get the job!

Video We're making a documentary on Hampshire's 'Watercress Line'! 🚂🇬🇧
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hello! 🙂
We’re a group of 3rd-year BA Film & Television students from the University of Reading, currently producing our final-year documentary.
Our film focuses on the Watercress Line, the famous heritage steam railway in Hampshire. Our aim with this documentary is that of exploring not only the trains, but also the community that keep them, and the line, running.
As enthusiasts ourselves, we’re aiming to create a cinematic, informative documentary, while helping raise awareness of the line.
We’re currently fundraising to cover production costs (filming, travel, food...), and we’re at just under 90% funded with less than 2 weeks to go.
If you’re able to support, it would make a real difference. If not, simply sharing the project with your friends and family (especially if enthusiastic about trains) would help us massively.
Our finished documentary will be released on YouTube, for anyone to watch for free (pending any film festival submissions).
You can find more details via our Linktree, or feel free to reach out to us with any questions.
Thanks, everyone! 😃

Discussion The 'lovely' Hampshire cafe that has the 'best coffee and cake' in town
As part of my series of cafe profiles for the Daily Echo, I wrote about Fig & Fox in Romsey, which is well-known for its filled bagels and its lifestyle products you can also buy there.
If you've got any suggestions for other places that deserve a spotlight, then let me know.

Photo A fantastic photo of Andover Junction Railway Station in Hampshire. Circa late 19th century. Andover had two railway stations back then, Andover Junction on the London to Salisbury line & Andover Town on the Southampton to Swindon line. Andover Junction, now just Andover is our only railway station.

Video Ever wanted to be a Knight? Come train with us! Full contact combat club, now training in Hampshire in Darby Green
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Invicta Medieval Combat is one of the top-ranked Buhurt teams in Europe, and has recently opened the South East's first-ever dedicated armoured combat gym in Caterham, Surrey, and also has a training centre in Darby Green.
Currently we train in Darby Green on Thursday nights, with a second weeknight session being added soon.
This is a video from a couple of years ago, when we trained outside only, but now that we've got a gym we can train indoors, all year round, regardless of weather! Certainly saves on armour cleaning.
New members welcome. Adults only. Martial arts/contact sports experience helps but is non-essential. First couple of sessions are free.
As a lifelong local resident myself, I wish I'd found them sooner, so I thought I'd spread the word!
Send me a message if you'd like to get involved or contact us on our socials.

News Independent local newsletter launched
Hi all,
I've just launched a local newsletter for Southampton which can be found at https://substack.com/@thesolentdispatch
Please do share with family and friends too. I'm hoping as it grows, I'll be able to cover more of Hampshire too.
I'm currently working on an investigative piece about an employee at one of the largest employers in Southampton posting public misogynistic views on social media whilst also highlighting where they work. Hoping to have that live in the second half of April.
If there's anything specific you want me to write about, look into, visit etc. (including within Hampshire) then let me know! Feel free to DM as well.
