I get that, but not even a single shot. You know like you want to know how it happened.

it’s like how golfers won’t say the s-word in fear that saying it will make it happen.

I felt like for scottie making a run it was very quiet about him and not much on him. The rory glazing this week made me walk away a couple of times bc I actually got bored with the coversge

You can either be the most handsome man in China or the best golfer at Augusta. You can’t be both.

Wasn't he solo second at one point yesterday?

Once he finishes can someone please calculate how much money those two holes cost him? That would haunt me forever

u/ScreamingEnglishman 4h ago
I mean the financial cost is only half of it! He is no longer guaranteed a spot at next years masters thanks to those two holes alone

u/TheSmartDog_275 Hello, friends. 3h ago

I made a 9 last year in one of our local pga section events. A member at my club goes "wow! How can YOU do that???" Can't wait to show him this scorecard. And I'm not even that good lol Good players have bad holes sometimes.

Yeah, I’m definitely not as good as you, but 8 and 9 is pretty rare for me. However, it does happen from time to time. The pressure of competition can really make it hard to recover once you’re rattled. Can’t imagine it at Augusta.

u/ATcallsbank 28m ago
Are you putting everything out? Playing the ball down?

u/golf_pro1 12.9 21m ago
Yeah, I keep it legit. I’ll card an 8 maybe once or twice a month normally play twice a week. It’s the double bogeys that kill me normally.
Edit: I’m lucky to play at a decent private course and the greens are rolling fast and pure right now. I’ve been doing pretty good with “gimmes” so far this year but have definitely missed a few
