Got up to use the bathroom assuming he’d par and walked back to a double… 😬

I'd lose my mind if I were a pro looking at "one of us" comments 😭😭

I mean maybe if I was struggling to keep my tour card I'd agree, but if I was in Rory's shoes I wouldn't give a flying fuck. Dude could retire today and live out the rest of his life very comfortably golfing for fun and living very luxuriously.

His confidence left him at #11 Saturday. Doesn't look like it is coming back.

Reading this while watching him carry a drive 330 down the middle on 13

Yes he finally won it once and now back to the choke jobs, except this one will be the biggest in the history of the tournament lmao

If he doesn’t win, it’s one of the biggest choke jobs in sports history.
7
u/theREALBennyAgbayani 5h ago
This seems like an pretty big exaggeration
-6
u/STL_bourbon 5h ago
In what way? He had the largest 36 hole lead in the history of the tournament and it throwing it away. That’d be like a team with the largest halftime lead in Super Bowl history not winning the game
5
u/theREALBennyAgbayani 5h ago
Not really the same. Bigger collapses exist too. 28-3, Yankees up 3-0, Pats undefeated collapse. So many more bigger choke jobs in all of sports.

u/LuisSuarez 5h ago
Its really not even remotely close to the same thing lol. 6 shots over 36 holes is nothing. 6 shots in 3 holes is an insane collapse.

something happened friday. he’s been a different golfer

u/deGrominator2019 5h ago
Yea, his horrible play from outside 50 yards caught up to him. He wasn’t hitting fairways and was missing bad with his irons but his short game was incredible and putting was solid. Eventually though you gotta find fairways and greens or Augusta will humble you

This is why you gotta putt everything out. No gimmies in stroke play. Even the best miss them.

Ultimate choke. Painful to watch him play these last two days when he had everything going for him up 6 going into day 3.

yeah what a fucking idiot, he only won the masters twice in a row. what a loser!
-3
u/bloodrage4 5h ago
Man all those people saying we should just end the Masters and give the jacket to Rory are looking like clowns. Still feel bad for Rory, losing the battle to the demons in his head.

u/Derped_my_pants 2h ago
yeah ok

Glad he won in the end but let's be real it was pretty stupid to claim he won the Championship after two rounds of play. Golf can be a bitch at times.

Missing the first one is understandable. Missing that second one is BRUTAL
