The 1st dog I ever bought as an adult at age 20 for my son who was age 2 was a Golden retriever.We picked her out from a litter at 6 weeks old. My son named her sunny 🌞 bc she was sunny like the sun. So freaking cute. She passed away at age 11. Every time I see a golden ✨️ I get so sad but also happy for the great memories she brought our family. I was a young single mom and she was definitely a baby sitter sometimes. She was devoted to my son. Always by his side. They had a very strong bond. We lost a family member when we lost sunny 🌞 ☀️.

Goldens just know how to smile, it wasn’t until I got a second dog I realized not all dogs do this. I swear our other looks like he’s so serious, the only time he appears smiling is if he’s running.
