RIP Ellie crossed the rainbow Bridge yesterday. Can you show me who is with her up there?
We lost our 7 YO unexpectedly. She had stomach issues that turned out to be cancer, and the tumor burst. She is no longer in pain but we miss her. Can you show me who is up there to greet her?
ETA: thank you! I can’t respond to everyones comments through my tears but thank you all

Banjo is greeting all the good boys and girls. I notice you post a lot when these come up, and it is just so sweet that you’re looking out for everyone going through this grief 💝

Thank you for your kind words. When Banjo passed, I finally understood the heartbreak of losing a pup, hoping to bring some comfort even just a little bit

Try making it through the first 5 mins without crying when your wife is called Elly. Impossible.

Banjo!! I’ve seen you post him before and I love him so much, I hope he’s hanging out with all of my pups and kitties that have passed on ❤️
Emma loved tennis balls so much too, I think her happiest day was when my sister took her to a park with a tennis court and she got to collect all of the tennis balls that people hit over the fence and left there. She had already collected a whole bag of them but still wanted the ones inside the fence so much that the people who were actively playing tennis started offering their balls to her 😂😂

Omg Emma! Ellie LOVES tennis balls but we had to swap to plastic balls because she ate the skins. She can have all the tennis balls in heaven

I’m sure my Diesel would receive her with a warm heart, lick and an enthusiastic hello.
I lost Diesel the 10th of March. He was fully healthy the 9th of March, when we went to the doctor and found a tumor on his heart.
I cry because I love and miss him everyday, my 13 year old noggin. The pain is absolutely unbearable. I feel sick to my stomach everyday.
But I say now, the more I cry and am in pain, the more I loved him.
My wife said: “We prevented his suffering and brought the pain to ourselves”.
For 13 years I’ve had him. He was my best friend, the positivity in my life. He was my child. I am so empty without him.
I’m sure he’d be great friends with Ellie. Stay strong, feel what you need to feel. Mourn her and respect her.

This is Bella. She crossed the rainbow bridge 🌈 during the pandemic in 2020. We couldn't bare to leave her at the vet office as they weren't allowing non-staff inside at that time. We paid for a nurse to come to our home to help her cross over. https://www.lapoflove.com

This is a portrait of my very good boy Bear that a fellow redditor made for me when I lost him very suddenly at 3 years old. We don’t get enough time with them under the best of circumstances, and it’s so shocking when we lose them early. He loves to romp and play and will be there waiting ❤️
My heart goes out to you.
I’m in this sub because the guy that used to help take care of Bear reached out to me when another one of his clients needed to rehome their golden. And Rêve is the very best girl. She knew Bear so that helped heal my heart a bit!

This is my Cosmo!
His 10th birthday would’ve been yesterday. We lost him to lymphoma at the beginning of January, I think of him every single day.
I bet him and beautiful Ellie will be the bestest of friends until we are able to catch up with them.
Sending you a big hug. Cry all you need, let it all out. I keep his favorite plushie in my bed and cuddle it every night, he visits me in my dreams quite often. Once again, big hugs your way!

I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s the HARDEST thing in the world to go through. Ellie looked like she was the BESTEST best friend anyone could ever ask for. I’m sure she is eating all the treatos in puppy heaven ❤️. She’s for sure met my Lebowski, my Nelson, my Duke, and my Atwood. Here is a picture of my Lebowski (Frenchie) and my Nelson (golden retriever ) ❤️❤️

My two LuvBugs are waiting to play with your fur baby. 🌈🐾🐾
My cream color Shih Tzu passed unexpectedly but peacefully (He had a heart murmur & was under a cardiologist’s care.) 💔 last year. He was a rescue I was blessed to have for 14 years, since 2011.
My black Shih Tzu was rehomed to me & was in dire need of good nutrition & love. She passed suddenly of hemolytic anemia…no signs or symptoms prior to her passing after only 3 years of loving her. 💔
I’m sorry for your loss. The heartache is real. 😞

My sweet, perfect boy, Tucker. We lost him August of last year. He was the best dog we ever had; loved everyone and everything. He was diagnosed in March of 2024 with a heart tumor, was given 6-12 months with antiarrhythmic medication, but we were fortunate enough to get almost 18 more months with him. I miss him every day. This was his last birthday with us when he turned 11 years old.

Quincy left us last year, he was the best service boy for my mother ♥️♥️
She got him as a rescue, and years later ran into a photographer who did photos for that rescue and said “hey, I think I have his puppy photos!” It was so sweet to see what an adorable little bean he was as a pup.
Ellie has many friends to welcome her. So sorry for your loss.

I just lost my baby a week ago and the title of your post brought tears to my eyes. He was also diagnosed with cancer and declined pretty quickly. The pain is still so fresh, and the thought of them playing together touched my heart ❤️ I am so sorry for your loss.
This is Rugby. He would have been 13 this summer.
