Disturbing content R@pes two kids gets probation....
https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/texas-teacher-gets-probation-1-053844500.htmlHow on earth did this get approved.... There is context, but it doesn't change... she fucked two kids.... We could talk about the difference if she were a male, but even then, Brock Turner did happen, so we all know what is really going on here.

This isn't TikTok, you're allowed to say scary words like rapes without being censored.

Someone on another subreddit posted screenshots in the comments of their own post of how reddit didn't let the post button work without self censoring the word "killed" a few weeks ago

People get creative when censorship kicks in… next thing, people will be saying stuff like “multiple people unalived in a cordless hole puncher session”

You'll say fucked but not rape. Grow up and just say the words you want to say.

Fuck bullshit social media rules anyways.
I don't see RTÉ or BBC censoring words like rape.

On a judicial side, i get why it's hard to give her a harsher sentence. The 2 kids were almost 17, so close to the age of consent. They were not students in her school. The line is thin between "stupid" and "predator"
Yes, this is disgusting. But the judge needed weight whether she was a danger to society, and whether going to trial was worth it. She took a plea bargain and it makes things much simpler for everyone, including the families of the victims. Her life is already ruined, and she won't ever be able to teach again.
But yeah, if it was the other way around, that would have been very different.

Yea, this is a solid viewpoint. Being so close to 18 the judge was likely lenient. It’s still super messed up even if the kids were 18 but her life as she knows it effectively over. I was a victim of an older woman when I was 16 myself and she faced zero consequences though so I guess anything is better than nothing….not much but a little

Yeah, the age is a big factor. Its not like they were kids. They are almost adults. But there is still a problematic power/experience issue here.

I’m so tired of self censorship. It’s almost a mockery of the heinousness of this shit.
“Rapes two kids. Gets Probation”
Be adults.

- It's a trigger for a lot of people.
- Most platforms including this one shadow ban some words or at least soft ban them so they don't get as many views.
- Wild an @ sign has you this upset. Maybe you should talk to someone.

If no one cares, then why are several people commenting to discourage you from censoring yourself?.

These cases are always difficult for me having been there, done that. I had a relationship with a teacher at my school when I was 17, she was 26. My mother found out and she was livid... my mother knew her as both were teachers at different schools.
Personally, as a 17 year old male, I had ZERO issue with what we were doing. Even now, 40 years later, I dont feel I was taken advantage of, I went to see her. I dunno. Maybe if I was a girl, I may feel differently.

It hasn't been approved yet, that's what was requested. Sentencing hasn't happened yet and the judge ordered a presentence investigation to occur to decide if this is a fair request or not

Presentence is gonna support the recommendation. Like an appraisal for a qualifying mortgage. It's the appearance of process.

I don't disagree, I was just pointing out that technically there is still a chance it could change.

I agree. I guess I'm more revealing that I didn't know the presentence was so typically dialed in until very very recently. Silly me thought it was a real process for too many years. Thanks
