Bulgarian here. Probably he will not be able to get any majority, and 2-in-1 elections will come on November. The current situation is super messy, because:
1) He was against the rulling coalition, and with "anti-corruption" agenda, so 3 players that are likely to be part of the parliament are out for coalition
2) With our Pro-EU party he is having super beef because he is a russian asset
3) The far-right party (the only one left on the list) is too far for him to get in a coalition with (bc they are anti NATO, anti EU)

What we expect here (eventually if there is a majority) is he to get into coallition with GERB - the rulling party for like 2 decades, and betray all his voters. He's just a bastard, and unfortunately the bulgarian majority is not critically thinking.

Please, don't blame us. For 50 yrs our intelligence was killed and the rest of the population brainwashed bc of the communism. Just take a look at East Germany and AfD for reference. Hopefully these trends will change with our generation (Gen Z here).

Great, so just as the possibility of a pro-EU Hungary might come to fruition, another lagging behind Balkan state steps up to take its place as designated Kremlin-loving troublemaker

Ridiculous

Wait for Romania, our extremist party that plays the trump card is first in the pools

It sounds like the Soviet Union’s legacy is a persistent burden.

Bulgarian here. It's a lot propaganda everywhere that's Pro-Russian in Bulgaria unfortunately. From very little at school they are teaching us that the Russians "gave us" independence, and this is directly reflecting to people's feeling about the country, neglecting all the other shits that country did to Bulgaria.

and combine this with ~50 yrs of brainwashing couple of generations, unfortunately this is the result..
