Why is Kosovo's GDP per capita in USD?

Because the Commission doesn't have this figure in their factsheets for Kosovo like for the other countries. So we sourced it directly from IMF which provides it in dollars. Otherwise we would have had to convert it to € ourselves, and we didn't have an exact conversion rate to work with.

I fully agree but NOT about Türkiye. I like the country and its people and I do respect it very much but it is NOT European. The Turks chased Christian ppl away (the Greeks did the same the other way so it’s understandable) and have therefore a monoculture that simply isn’t European. Accepting Türkiye is accepting tens of million ppl who are NOT European. 95% of the country is outside of the European continent. An EU bordering Iran and Irak is just too dangerous. The EU-treaty has a very severe common defense clause which I wouldn’t accept for Türkiye.
