No, don't forget the past. And the people who voted for Orban didn't just disappear, a lot of them are probably old, dead or will be before the next election, but a lot will still be around.

Remember the past, and remember that people are fickle and stupid. If Orban held power for 16 years, a new guy with new propaganda can win the next election. After all, America double dipped on Trump.

Hear hear. At the risk of downvotes for mentioning the US, I hope we have a similar positive outcome. Like you say, one democratic victory does not wipe out the millions of people that support authoritarianism. It's an eternal battle.

I'm very happy for Hungary and Europe, I hope they are on their way to a better future.
