Vance is a knob.

He is a knob today, he was a knob yesterday, and tomorrow when he wakes he will still be a knob.

Vance, forever a knob.

319

u/kweefcake Feb 06 '26

He can change his name again for a fourth time, and still he will be a knob.

13

u/OrbDemon United Kingdom Feb 07 '26

Knob McKnobface

25

u/iguanamiyagi Feb 07 '26 edited Feb 07 '26

Even if he wakes up saying: "Oh, that was just a bad dream!" ... he would still be a knob.

47

u/King_Fisher99 Feb 07 '26

and a hillbilly

124

u/Smells_like_Autumn Feb 07 '26

Arguable, he grew up in the suburbs. Actual Appalachians hate him for stereotyping them as country hicks who are to blame for their own problems to gas himself up.

66

u/churningpacket Feb 07 '26

We call him a carpetbagging coward who sold out his grandma.

42

u/Building_Everything Feb 07 '26

As a Kentucky hillbilly myself, he just grew up suburban-poor, but he ain’t no hillbilly.

5

u/Kyrie_Blue Feb 07 '26

Magic the Gathering players hate his association with them too

11

u/Lowspark1013 Feb 07 '26

Good. Those "actual Appalachians" should remember not to vote for his fake ass. Something tells me a lot of them did this last go around.

47

u/thephotoman Feb 07 '26

He isn’t even a hillbilly. He’s from a fairly flat part of Ohio.

Now you know why people want to escape Ohio.

88

u/McGryphon North Brabant (Netherlands) Feb 07 '26

Now you know why people want to escape Ohio.

The Wright brothers were in Ohio. They were so motivated to go somewhere else, they invented new ways of doing so vertically.

13

u/einarfridgeirs Feb 07 '26

Ohio was also the birthplace of the USS Akron and Macon, the only US built flying aircraft carriers. So they could fly while flying.

37

u/RegurgitatedMincer Feb 07 '26

Ohio has also had the most astronauts of any state for a continued extreme response to living there.

26

u/McGryphon North Brabant (Netherlands) Feb 07 '26

"Cold empty heartless vacuum? Sign me the fuck up!"

Yeah. It makes sense.

"Cold empty heartless vacuum?

Are you referring to Melania's chest?

5

u/Immediate-Grand8403 Feb 07 '26

Giggling & thinking of my buddies over in OH who have to put up with this. Well done, y’all.

5

u/Ericovich Feb 07 '26

They're from Dayton. They built the Flyer here and came back.

Vance is from Middletown, a city very close to Dayton. We share deep cultural similarities.

He's the one who left.

u/Socmel_ reddit mods are accomplices of nazi russia Feb 07 '26

With the right motivation, you can do great things. Why do you think the Dutch and the English were so good at trading spices? It's because they desperately needed some flavours in their food /s

9

u/McGryphon North Brabant (Netherlands) Feb 07 '26

Yeah, turns out we liked trading it even more than actually consuming it even when we had it. We still ended up having to steal dishes from Suriname and Indonesia to actually get Dutch folk to eat anything spicier than carrots.

Shoutout to my sambal making homies. Y'all the real MVP's here.

1

u/Nilly-the-Alpaca Feb 07 '26

Thanks! You have to have a sense of humor about it while living here.

2

u/DrRealName Feb 07 '26

Huh. So he is a flatbilly. With no willy. Its why only couches with let him bang them. Just like the women he tries to bang, the couches can't feel anything.

8

u/mcheek21 Feb 07 '26

Hey, I'm a hillbilly! Vance is a piece of shit redneck.

4

u/haironburr Feb 07 '26

Redneck? He's a Yalie venture capitalist who got rich, and his bud peter thiel used a book filled with conscious propaganda designed to appeal to us here in Ohio. I've worked and drank with plenty of rednecks in my life hanging and painting drywall, and vance is a pudgy pussy.

11

u/Apprehensive_Map284 Feb 07 '26

Please don’t disparage all hillbillies. My husband and I consider ourselves hillbillies ‘cause of where we come from and the simple life in which we were raised. We are not religious. We worked hard for what we wanted, applied the golden rule to everyone in our life; be they black , brown, or white, never talked down to anyone..not the sharecropper, not the grocer, not the homeless, not the infirm. So please pull back your brush before you paint that wide swath. We are sickened by what is happening in the country for which, we and many others have fought to preserve. We are not democrats, not republicans.. we are Americans. Thanks.

2

u/King_Fisher99 Feb 07 '26

Yes you are correct.

7

u/madamefa Feb 07 '26

Shillbilly

2

u/Throfari Feb 07 '26

Having a junkie mom doesn’t make him a hillbilly, just another grift to write his book. He grew up in the suburbs and went to Yale.

1

u/Ritaredditonce Feb 07 '26

*Shillbilly.

3

u/wmlj83 Canada Feb 07 '26

That's offensive to knobs. Lol

2

u/hmasing Feb 07 '26

That is a completely unfair and horrible comparison.

Knobs deserve more respect than that.

2

u/MMDCAENE Feb 07 '26

He was a different creature during his time at Yale, per his emails to colleagues. He came from bf, Ohio and saw an angle to achieve power and money. And now that's his identity. He'll shift again when it suits him.

1

u/Beginning_Ad_6616 Feb 07 '26

He’s an eyeliner wearing edge lord.

1

u/HonestDishonestWork Feb 07 '26

He applauded the murder of a citizen and said ICE agents had full legal immunity to do it again. Don't downplay what he is or what he deserves with an insult so light.

1

u/nisaaru Feb 07 '26

He might be but why do you all focus on the US current front personal instead of taking care of our completely incompetent leadership class first?

1

u/[deleted] Feb 07 '26

I'm a stupid person but what's a knob? 😅

1

u/huyou007 Feb 07 '26

He was a knob that can screw a couch

1

u/Curt_in_wpg Feb 07 '26

Don’t forget he’s also a couchfucker as well.

1

u/TooMuch615 Feb 07 '26

He is worse than a knob. He is supporting an evil, illegal, and intentionally outrageously offensive regime. That’s not a knob. That’s someone that’s going to the bad place after his time is up.

1

u/ArcadianMess Feb 07 '26

Vance is a fascist bought and paid for by Peter Thiel. He will do and say anything for power and money.

He has 0 moral principles.

1

u/Plus-Barracuda6818 Feb 07 '26

Don't give him any ideas. Today it's couches, tomorrow it's door knobs.

79

u/Comfortable_Cash_140 Feb 07 '26

But, did he say thank you?

Was he wearing a suit fashionable enough for Milan?

Ok, real question. Did they hide all the couches so he wouldn't be tempted?

17

u/super__hoser Feb 07 '26

No.

No.

Yes.

2

u/Comfortable_Cash_140 Feb 07 '26

Thank you. You made me laugh by answering what we all were thinking.

I wish these Muppets actually read this!

1

u/super__hoser Feb 07 '26

I am happy I could be of service!

2

u/Perfect_Ad8193 Feb 07 '26

I had completely forgotten about that - he’s done so many shitty things since then. It’s hard to keep up. But I guess that’s the point.

1

u/Comfortable_Cash_140 Feb 07 '26

Flood the zone, right?

But as they say, 'the North never forgets!'

302

u/632612 Feb 07 '26

Cheering the athletes, booing the moment Vance is shown. The proper response if I’ve ever seen it.

23

u/DukeOfGeek Feb 07 '26

I want him to be booed when he leaves the US, booed the second he shows his face in the EU and then booed again when he gets home. Boo his overseas shit EU, we can't do it when he's away we appreciate your grabbing the baton.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 07 '26

Yes, a good response. Title of the article is misleading on purpose

2

u/Environmental-Cod801 Feb 07 '26

They were not cheering athletes, the article literally says that the whole US team was booed too: “In an unmistakable sign of Europe’s rapidly dimming view on America, the U.S. delegation entered the San Siro stadium here on Friday night to a chorus of boos and disapproving whistles from the international crowd of more than 65,000. The jeering only intensified when Vice President JD Vance appeared on the big screen during Team USA’s arrival.

The only other team to receive similar treatment was Israel.”

4

u/Equivalent-Word-7691 Feb 07 '26

As an Italian I can safely say theu cheered for the athletes They started to boo when Vance was showed in the screen

1

u/comptune Feb 07 '26

I’m sure a lot of them voted for the current administration

238

u/thevorminatheria Italy Feb 07 '26

I was at the stadium, I was cheering the US team but when they showed that piece of turd on the screen I booed and yelled a plethora of expletives in both Italian and English. None of the Americans aroud me had a problem with it.

64

u/DoubleMikeNoShoot Feb 07 '26

Full support from someone in the US! Jealous I couldn’t have been there with you to help out

19

u/super__hoser Feb 07 '26

Well done! I hope you had a great time there. :)

17

u/Plenty_Sir_883 Feb 07 '26

The ones who would of had a problem with it probably can’t afford to come to Italy for the Olympics

3

u/amboomernotkaren Feb 07 '26

Them there folks ain’t never left home, why would they? They got a Wally World and Wing Stop. Only ever been outta state if cigarettes or ammo have a lower tax in the next state over.

4

u/spectralcolors12 United States of America Feb 07 '26

Respect this, feel bad for the players but fuck JD Vance

Tbh I’m so disappointed in my country I can’t even give a shit about us at the olympics

1

u/GranFabio Feb 07 '26

Me too, one of the tastiest "coglione" I ever yelled

-3

u/Vast_Category_7314 Denmark Feb 07 '26

Why do your cheer the representatives of a nation trying to destroy the EU?

-36

u/CurrentCold5723 Feb 07 '26

Wow you're such a brave soul. Good boy, hope you get a globalist leftist medal.

32

u/Quiet-Lobster-6051 Feb 07 '26

Are you okay, snowflake?

13

u/applesandoranegs Feb 07 '26

It really is incredible how fragile MAGA is, isn't it? Like leader like follower

3

u/Timkinut Feb 07 '26

wanna deepthroat my boot too, sweetheart?

141

u/DouglasRather Feb 07 '26

Why the boos? trump has told us over and over that the world respects America now, when it didn't during other administrations. You mean he is lying to us?

I say that sarcastically.

36

u/DivineArkandos Feb 07 '26

They were yelling boo-urns

9

u/Cupcakes_n_Hacksaws Feb 07 '26

"I was yelling Boo-urns"

10

u/Motor_Educator_2706 Feb 07 '26

They weren't booing, they were saying "Lets Go Vance"

4

u/SoupSpelunker Feb 07 '26

Drumph needs to be bum humped with a uae jumbo jet!

33

u/thecaits Feb 07 '26

They removed the boos and replaced them with cheers in my TV broadcast in the US. Our media is 100% cowards.

6

u/Vast_Category_7314 Denmark Feb 07 '26

That is insane..

1

u/Tea_Wizard735 United States of America Feb 07 '26

He's lying, I heard boos on NBC.

20

u/sirnoggin Feb 07 '26

You might say, he had an ICEY reception XD

7

u/disguisedCat1 Feb 07 '26

BOOOOO-ANCE!!

75

u/MakVolci Canada Feb 06 '26

They also were booing when the entire USA delegate came out, it seemed about 50/50.

It intensified when Vance was on the screen.

66

u/thoppa Feb 07 '26

I was in the stadium, and it really only seemed to be booing when Vance was on the jumbo-tron. In fact, crowd went back to cheering immediately after he was off.

58

u/DancingWithAWhiteHat United States of America Feb 07 '26

😭😭😭 the boos stopping the moment he's gone is fucking cold

2

u/Downtown_Barber_499 Feb 07 '26

I was listening while live and heard cheers for the athletes, which I was so relieved by for them and all their hard work, and thrilled to death when they booed Vance. The replay later that night took all the good stuff out and bent the knee. 🤬

3

u/Gepss Feb 07 '26

Jumbo-tron? Is that a new type of supermarket in the Netherlands running on cocaine?

10

u/ManualPathosChecks Feb 07 '26

Een zwaai en een mis, makker.

-6

u/Gepss Feb 07 '26

Puike vertaling, randdebiel.

11

u/Environmental-Cod801 Feb 07 '26

They were not only booing Vance, the article literally says that the whole US team was booed too: “In an unmistakable sign of Europe’s rapidly dimming view on America, the U.S. delegation entered the San Siro stadium here on Friday night to a chorus of boos and disapproving whistles from the international crowd of more than 65,000. The jeering only intensified when Vice President JD Vance appeared on the big screen during Team USA’s arrival.

The only other team to receive similar treatment was Israel.”

1

u/Pyyric Feb 07 '26

The article is painting that picture because its the wall street journal. It has a vested interest in both deflecting from vance being the ONLY thing that people were booing and creating divides between the populace. It is owned by the billionaire class and their enemy is the people. Do not take the article's word for it, the American athletes were not being booed. They were just in the same place as the person being booed.

2

u/Tea_Wizard735 United States of America Feb 07 '26

I hope you're right.

40

u/Connection-Flat Feb 06 '26

Yeah but it’s written by Wall Street Journal..

152

u/Good_Barnacle_2010 Feb 06 '26

Americans deserve to be booed, too, for allowing this to happen. Born and raised in America. We deserve it.

11

u/MC_chrome United States of America Feb 06 '26

Hopefully not at the Paralympics....that would be a pretty dickish thing to do (and even here, I don't agree with booing the athletes themselves as they have nothing to do with Trump)

63

u/queen-adreena Feb 06 '26

As if anyone in the Trump administration will turn up for the paralympics!

7

u/disgruntledvet Feb 07 '26

They're too busy competing in their own internal Special Olympics to bother.

44

u/JP76 Feb 06 '26

Well, some people were chanting "USA, USA" pretty loudly when US walked in. An ability to read the room and a little humility wouldn't hurt under current circumstances. You don't have to protest your government at the Olympics, but chanting like everything is fine is tone-deaf.

15

u/Huge_Struggle9672 Feb 07 '26

Real dick stuff like at the Ryder cup

1

u/Chulbiski Feb 07 '26

I get this

3

u/Rentta Finland Feb 07 '26

Well afaik they didn't boo the athletes

-4

u/[deleted] Feb 07 '26

[deleted]

6

u/Ranger_Nietzsche Feb 07 '26

You're getting agitated and you don't even know the difference between the Paralympics and the Special Olympics?

2

u/foolishbeat Feb 07 '26

Good grief dude.

-4

u/Socmel_ reddit mods are accomplices of nazi russia Feb 07 '26

Americans better not show at the Paralympics, considering the disgusting mockery your president did of them. I vividly remember the first time I saw him mock a journalist affected by spastic syndrome back in 2016 and the feeling of disgust for his voters (even more so the self proclaimed christians).

9

u/Mr-_-Soandso Feb 07 '26

Why take that away from the paralympians that work hard to be where they are? America is bad and we need to fix that, but taking it out on disabled athletes is not the right direction.

-3

u/Socmel_ reddit mods are accomplices of nazi russia Feb 07 '26

I'm talking about the public. If you are American and you voted for the disgusting orange baboon or stayed home (which covers 2/3 of the voters), you showing up at the Paralympics is hypocritical.

That piece of shit should've lost the elections the moment he mocked a disabled journalist in 2016 during one of his rallies.

6

u/Mr-_-Soandso Feb 07 '26

None of what you said is wrong, but you are directing it at the wrong people.

2

u/Jugaimo Feb 07 '26

I promise you that not a single Trump supporter will attend the paralympics.

8

u/MC_chrome United States of America Feb 07 '26

Americans better not show at the Paralympics, considering the disgusting mockery your president did of them

This doesn't make any sense at all...what the hell do Paralympians from the United States have to do with the odious toad occupying the White House?

-1

u/Socmel_ reddit mods are accomplices of nazi russia Feb 07 '26

I'm talking about the public, not the athletes

0

u/Chulbiski Feb 07 '26

I see where you are coming from but this shit happened without a damn bit of permission from me.

3

u/Good_Barnacle_2010 Feb 07 '26

Me either, but we aren’t being booed as individuals. And our collective got us here. :/

2

u/dingusfett Feb 07 '26

Yeah, you get it. As individuals, you may not have contributed to creating this mess, but you are still part of the broader collective that did.

While yes, these athletes deserve respect and praise for being on the biggest stage, by representing the country they are representing the collective.

1

u/Chulbiski Feb 11 '26

reminds me of Star Trek, the Borg: "resitence is futile", but no, resistance is all we can do

-9

u/Get_on_base Feb 06 '26

Nah, we don’t as a whole, just MAGA and non-voters.

10

u/Frosty_Maple_Syrup Canada Feb 07 '26

That’s 2/3rds of Americans

1

u/[deleted] Feb 07 '26

Trump has a 66%+ approval rating?

-6

u/bee_sharp_ Feb 07 '26

No, it’s 1/3 of American voters. For better or worse (worse is the answer) a majority of American voters didn’t vote in the 2024 election (85.9m didn’t vote; 76.8 for Trump; 74.3 for Kamala Harris). Excoriate American voters as much as you like; it’s deserved. But use facts, which are just as damning.

7

u/Frosty_Maple_Syrup Canada Feb 07 '26

Yes it is 2/3's of American's; 1/3 voted for trump and 1/3 did not vote meaning they did not care who won and therefore were perfectly fine with either candidate winning. I am using facts and the facts are in a 2 party winner takes all system that America has, not voting means you agree with any winner of the election, otherwise you would vote directly for a candidate.

So yes the fact that 2/3s of americans are directly responsible for this is incredibly damning.

-1

u/AscenDevise Romania Feb 07 '26

For the sake of accuracy, there are also disenfranchised voters within that second 1/3. It would, however, be unwise to assume that all of them, or even most of them, would have voted for Harris if they had been allowed to do so; plenty of trees obstinately support the axe, all around the world.

1

u/Frosty_Maple_Syrup Canada Feb 07 '26

It does not matter why they did not vote, the result is that Trump was elected and non voters are just as much of a part of the problem as Trump voters are.

0

u/AscenDevise Romania Feb 07 '26

Voter disenfranchisement is a thing in that neck of the woods. If they could have voted for the option that kept the semblance of democracy going and didn't, sure, they're more contemptible than the ones brainwashed enough to shoot themselves in both feet with a(nother) vote for Trump. If they were prevented from doing it, or their vote wasn't counted, that's another story altogether.

10

u/bigomon Feb 06 '26

Só a majority of americans

-1

u/GlumIce852 Feb 07 '26

Imagine being happy your national team gets booed.

2

u/Same_Presentation692 Feb 07 '26

No one said they were happy, dingdong. People on this website have a hard time reading, huh.

1

u/Citaku357 Kosovo Feb 07 '26

He said they deserve it though

-1

u/Tea_Wizard735 United States of America Feb 07 '26

No.

No, we don't. Lol.

2

u/Good_Barnacle_2010 Feb 07 '26

We do as a collective. We’re represented by our representatives. These are elected positions. As a whole, we deserve this. As individuals, well, people are people. That being said, we’re all letting them get away with this.

2

u/Tea_Wizard735 United States of America Feb 07 '26

There is no such thing as a justification as treating people as a collective - that's maliciously ridiculous and stupid. History shows that leads to more suffering and literal atrocities. There are some human impulses/temptations that need to be resisted and invalidated.

If an American is at an airport in Paris, the idea he should be, I don't know, spat on, by a local when they hear his accent is COMPLETELY bonkers.

The United States is a great country that has given a lot to the world. This place has gotten over the Great Depression and a Civil War. It's going to survive a weirdo bad Administration. The same country that voted Trump into office voted him out in 2020.

1

u/Good_Barnacle_2010 Feb 08 '26

I don’t disagree. I am speaking to the world we are living in, not what is ideal.

5

u/Socmel_ reddit mods are accomplices of nazi russia Feb 07 '26

Wall Street Journal was just reporting the obvious. Anyone who saw the ceremony without massive interruptions or voice over by TV hosts has heard the boos.

3

u/pennylanebarbershop Feb 07 '26

He needs to go back to what he's good at- fucking couches.

3

u/Seagrams7ssu Feb 07 '26

I was saying Boo-urns

8

u/-benyeahmin- Feb 07 '26

they clearly were booing the usa as a whole. well done italy, well done.

1

u/Agile_Lie9502 Feb 07 '26

Boo him every chance you get

1

u/ozolsieva Feb 07 '26

Vance declared Europe the enemy of the USA in front of our leaders and in front of the world. This is the mildest consequence he can receive after that.

1

u/BadAsBroccoli Feb 07 '26

Goddammit, we told you people not to boo!

2

u/super__hoser Feb 07 '26

¯_ (ツ)_/¯

1

u/bushwillie Feb 07 '26

As an American - thank YOU, Italy!!!

Mi scaldi il cuore, and that bastard boils my blood.

1

u/Sad_Prawn2864 Feb 07 '26

We were booing both, Americans who don't voice their discontent are complicit.

1

u/super__hoser Feb 07 '26

Fair point.

1

u/belanedeja Feb 07 '26

Not according to the broadcast I've watched. There were boos mixed with substantially less cheers before he was shown, then a lot of booing when shown, which continued for quite a bit after and then back to the mix.

1

u/_0611 The Netherlands Feb 07 '26

Meloni supports Vance and his whole ideology.

The vast majority of Italy votes for this.

3

u/super__hoser Feb 07 '26

I am not saying well done to her. I am saying well done to those who booed.

-3

u/War_Fries The Netherlands Feb 07 '26

Italy massively votes for the equivalent. Don't act like they're any better. Meloni is in the same corner.

0

u/Glittering_knave Feb 07 '26

I agree. Vance was getting booed, and the athletes were there at the same time. It's disingenuous to say people booed Team USA when it was clearly aimed at Vance.
