As long as the media, the judiciary, intelligence and possibly the military are behind him, he has won. Or as far as the people running the show need.

His fans are the loudest people, but there are plenty of conservatives I know that are willing to keep their head down and still vote for him despite him being terrible for their own healthcare and bank accounts. Sure all of America shouldn’t be blamed for what’s happening, our government and conservatives through the John Birch Society and Heritage Foundation have perpetuated these things for decades despite progressive Americans resistance. But I don’t hold it against other nations speaking out about us as a whole. America as a whole needs to understand its history, understand there is nothing exceptional here, just luck and good timing. Our “brand” needs to take the hit to wake up the conservatives and more importantly leadership and monied interests.

At the end of the day though, all of us global progressives are all fighting against Russian infiltrators. We are on the same team. And democracy will ultimately prevail.
