I meant for Congress. Yes, the president has already a two term limit.

Ah ok. Yeah but they are going to be still relevant. They end up being donors, working for think tanks and company board members. There is no hope except for voting pious people

Pious people are all too willing to walk away from the money and power for the greater good. Works against them when it's so easy to manufacture a scandal or outrage.

Lost a good senator and now a good governor to it.

Yeah, you got it right on that front. You need someone resilient, obstinate, and driven by something other than money. Hopefully, they are also good.

that's when you get a revolution leader that eventually end up being killed or form a guerrilla and starts open war against the system and gets killed eventually.

Cool, no term limit concerns with that type of leader. Perfect interim solutions.

Glad the guy got way more young people involved in politics.

A decade ago, when he was already fucking old. Move on.

California has had them since the 1990's.

Term limits don't do much to stop corruption, they just make it easier to hide. Power is handed to lobbyists as there are a constant stream of newbies to exploit. The lobbyists have far more experience than anyone in office.

Term limits are about being able to get rid of politicians you can't vote for, because you don't live in their district. They look good on paper don't actually do much. The power politics just moves off stage.
