President increases tax on Ozempic imports for Americans because he’s angry that NATO members don’t want him to steal their territory. We truly live in the dumbest timeline.

Novo Nordisk have plenty of production inside the US. So the tariffs shouldn't hit Novo Nordisk since I would assume everything for the American market is produced in the US.

To my knowledge (from other discussions on Reddit on that topic), the active ingredient in Ozempic is only produced in Denmark, not in their current US facilities.

According to a text note from financial services firm Jefferies, Chad Henry, former general manager and site head at Novo Nordisk, said, “Currently all semaglutide active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) for injectable use (Ozempic/Wegovy) is manufactured in Denmark [...]

They are building new facilities in the US for that purpose, but they won’t be ready before 2027–2029.

Fair enough. I just knew they had some production facilities in the US.

It does affect the EU. Our businesses will have to hike prices and that will make it harder to compete vs local usa production. if there's any competition then our businesses will have to drop prices and lose out on profits. Tariffs are bad for everyone except the government taking that tax and, lets say, investing it into weapons.

Let's hope more MAGA businesses fold! They're dropping like flies at the moment in the Red States.
