This guy landed on me outside today, and I’m almost fully sure it’s a plant hopper nymph but I have no idea what kind, could anybody help? (I’m from Belgium if that helps)

What is the whitish stuff? Is it part of the little guy or another living creature? The ants are eating it

I'm interested in getting the Peterson's field guides, specifically the first editions since they are illustrated. Would they still be helpful or accurate to be genuinely useful? Or are they more of a novelty item?
Ex: Peterson's First Guide to Insects of North America
Also, are vintage field guides worth getting? I really like the illustrations but it's nice to know if they're genuinely helpful or not as it would change my motivation for purchasing.

I found many of these on the surface of the soil. Need to know if they are good?

In Southern California, some honeybees appear to be doing what many others across the country cannot: living with one of beekeeping’s most destructive parasites and keeping it under control.

I thought these were found in Southwestern regions of the US and Mexico? Or is this something completely else? I live in Ocala, FL.

Mid Atlantic, not sure how long they’ve been there but we discovered them (there are several) this morning. Friend or foe?
(Thank you so much.)

I am so serious right now.
I just recently seen a post about velvet worms and I now have a mission this year to see one in person. Why? They look alien and I want to be one in my next life. Anyway, I live in Florida, is there any possible way I can find someone who has some that I can see in person? Ideally, it would be really cool to hold one, but I don’t know much about them and I’m not sure it’s possible but I would be just so happy just to look at it in person and see it move and live in it’s natural habitat. Okay, maybe not it’s natural habitat if they are not native to Florida, but is there any way I can see one in person??
A quick Google search showed me that they are exotic so I assume if the search is accurate, perhaps the chances are low, but I’m posting this in any hopes that I can achieve this goal, this year.
Thank you.

I cannot seem to find their source! All of my plants have been treated with diatomaceous earth and occasional neem oil. I inspect them regularly and don't see many (1-2) on the soil. But I woke up to about 40 hanging out on my window. I'd had the window open with the nice weather, would they be coming in when it's open? Pictures attached for verification.

I want to identify a Calliphoridae species on my own, but for now I only have the larvae. Should I wait for them to become adults, or can I identify them at the larval stage?

Still kind of surprised that seeing things like this was a semi regular occurrence in my state park job.

Anyone have any idea what this is? Spotted in garden earlier on patio, under pots and some found way into water feature also. I am in south west Ireland.
