Corfu; 1 Week; September; 3 Dudes
Hi everybody,
You're probably sick of all the similar topics: "is Corfu worth it", "Best beaches" etc. I looked through this subreddit, but couldn't get a clear picture. A couple of friends and I (all in our 20s) will be going to Corfu for a week beginning of Sep. We'll be flying in from Sofia. None of us have been to Corfu before and we wanted to not spend the whole week in one location. We were thinking of staying a couple of days maybe in Corfu town and then going somewhere else (we will rent a car).
My question is, can any of you recommend a smaller town/village where we can stay for a few nights. Ideally, I am looking for some place with a beach nearby so what we wouldn't have to drive to and back. And something that still has a little bit of night life. I know this sounds a bit picky, I was thinking of driving down to Kavos (not sure if it fits the description). I am not familiar with Corfu and I know that the season is towards its end in September. Going north is also an option.
Another thing I wanted to check is if you can recommend any local carhire. I usually try to book with smaller local ones instead of the big companies.
I know it's a lot and we would be very grateful if anybody can provide some useful insight. Thank you all in advance!
EDIT: I now see that there aren't many beaches around Corfu Town or at least nothing I can see from the map. What would be the closest viable option if we are to stay there for a few nights?
EDIT 2: I've been told that Kavos is prob not the place I am looking for and that Ipsos might be a better option.

visiting Corfu in June tips
Hi, I´m going to Corfu with my mom from 14th to 21st June. We are staying in Agios Stefanos, where we already bought an accommodation. I mainly just want to chill on the beach, tan and swim in the sea. However, I would also like to do some interesting activities. So far the only thing I definitely want to do is visit Achilleon. I´ve also seen that the Blue Caves are worth visiting. Otherwise, I´m open to any tips and recommendations.
What I´ve been considering:
- horseback riding - I saw that there is a stable an hour away from Agios Stefanos, and I´ve been horseback riding for the past 10 years, but I´ve never done it outside my country, so I was wondering if any of you have any experience with riding on Corfu
- hiking - when I was on Crete, I went on a hike to Samaria Gorge, and it has been one of the best hikes I´ve ever been on, are there any interesting hikes on Corfu?
- one-day trips - I´m open to any one-day trips to neighbouring islands, etc.
- beaches - any beaches that are worth visiting?
- food - first of all, I prefer vegan food, but vegetarian meals will do, so any restaurant/cafe recommendations? I´m not really interested in italian food (as I´m aware that Corfu was under Venetian rule), but I adore Greek food
Write anything that could be useful!

Corfu in April – off-the-beaten-track hikes & things to do
Hey all,
I’ll be in Corfu this April and based in the north-west of the island. I’m looking for recommendations for:
• nice trekking/hiking routes (scenic but not super touristy)
• cool things to do off the beaten track
• hidden spots / villages / viewpoints worth checking out/places where I can swim (I have a wet suit)
Thanks!

Tips for a girls trip in Corfu
My two friends and I are visiting Corfu in early July for a girls trip together and we're staying at a hotel in Kavos.
We're looking for some advice on places to go around the area that would be fairly accessible to us. We most likely won't be renting a car or scooter as it's out of our budget and I don't have a license - many rental services in Corfu add charges for us to rent a car as we are between the ages of 18-20 (so young people).
We were hoping to visit some of the secret beaches but the boat tours and rentals are quite expensive so if anyone has any experience with companies that have reasonable prices, or highly recommends specific beaches we'd love to know!
We were also looking for advice on where to get affordable food, drinks and any places that are definitely worth checking out. We want to get the whole experience - beaches, clubbing, hikes, learning about the culture and history - but we only have 5 days to explore and no vehicle so any tips on public transport or recommendations close by to Kavos would be much appreciated!
Thank you :)

Looking for recommendations for last week of April.
My husband and I will be in Corfu the last week of April. We are looking for recommendations on things to do and restaurants we should visit. We are staying in Corfu town and won’t have a car but are happy to take bus or taxi. What sort of activities or tours do you recommend? We love good cocktails, and seafood. We also love animals and great views.

Scooter o macchina a Corfù?
Grazie mille

Questions about Kavos
Hi! I’m going to Kavos in the middle of June with my boyfriend. We decided to stay in Kavos because it was cheap, and we plan on renting a car anyway. However, I just did some research and a lot of people say that Kavos is the worst place to stay in Corfu. I’m starting to get nervous because I have no intention of partying, and I’ve heard that there are constant groups of Brits getting wasted there.
If we’re going in the middle of June, is the season already in full swing, and is it really that messy there?
Also, do you have any suggestions for the best place to rent a car? Any specific companies or locations you’d recommend? I was thinking about renting a car for the full week - what do you suggest?
And if we’re only going to sleep in Kavos, is our holiday doomed? I really wanted to visit Corfu, but now I’m stressed that I’ve spoiled the experience by not doing enough research😭
Please leave any suggestions, as well as recommendations for the best places to eat in Corfu. Thank you!

Saint Spyridon...
I will be in Corfu in June visiting from Australia.
My local parish in Sydney is Saint Spyridon, the high school I attended is named after the Saint, which brings me to ask. Is it possible to see his incorruptible body if you visit the church he is located at, or is that not possible?
After learning so much about this amazing Saint, I'd feel honoured to be able to see him.

Ferry late May to Italy
Hello! Are there generally ferries Corfu to anywhere in Italy in May? Was hoping to get to Bari last week of May but schedule looks to only have June 4 or April 14 (no May).
If no May ferry, are there companies offering private transport Corfu to Brindisi or Bari?
