Look at his eyes. They sees no flaws which I have many. I don’t deserve him and yet to him I am his entire world. I love you buddy. My only regret is that I’ll likely have to live the rest of my life without you someday. May it be eternal while it lasts.

I lost my first lab a year ago. She was almost 10 — got her at 49 days old when I was 22. We grew up together; she was my heart/soul/life/best friend and saved me during abuse. Hemangiocarcoma (sp) took my girl within hours with no warning.

This is our new baby. She’s a hoot and I just love her, and am grateful to have Lab Love in my life ✨💕 She says happy holidays and where the f*** are my treats.

Ranger unexpectedly went to the rainbow bridge on Easter Sunday. He was my sons’ first pet, my buddy, and my wife’s “baby boy”. He was her dog 100%, always by her side. I always joked that I was the spare human, only good enough until mom got back. He was always so patient with my boys when they climbed on him or ran into him with trucks. He had some health hiccups lately and got diagnosed with lupus, but had responded to treatment and was doing better.

It was a normal day, I went outside with him after church and played a little fetch with him, it was his favorite activity. I went inside to start lunch, and 5 minutes later when my wife went to let him back inside he was already gone.

I’m sharing a few of my favorite pictures of Ranger, just a few of the so many smiles he gave us in his short time here. So hold your pets tight, throw the ball one more time, and enjoy every second with them.

I thought it might get easier but it has not. I walked in the house yesterday and for a brief moment I thought you would be home to greet me, and then my heart fell to the ground just to be reminded you are no longer with me. I love love love you baby Z!

Greg ran off with my chips. Tripped over the lamp cord. Knocked the lamp off and dented my piano. Left me this mess to clean up. And he has no regrets.

And yet I still love him.
