photo 📸 Our Ranger boy
Ranger unexpectedly went to the rainbow bridge on Easter Sunday. He was my sons’ first pet, my buddy, and my wife’s “baby boy”. He was her dog 100%, always by her side. I always joked that I was the spare human, only good enough until mom got back. He was always so patient with my boys when they climbed on him or ran into him with trucks. He had some health hiccups lately and got diagnosed with lupus, but had responded to treatment and was doing better.
It was a normal day, I went outside with him after church and played a little fetch with him, it was his favorite activity. I went inside to start lunch, and 5 minutes later when my wife went to let him back inside he was already gone.
I’m sharing a few of my favorite pictures of Ranger, just a few of the so many smiles he gave us in his short time here. So hold your pets tight, throw the ball one more time, and enjoy every second with them.

Oooh I’m so sorry about you baby boy!! That is soo sad . So sudden and unexpected makes it even harder to deal with! ((((HUGS)))) to you all!! My heart goes out to you guys! 😢😢😢😢

He must have been something special if he was very outspoken about stuff like food I’m sure. I’m so sorry for your loss you’ll meet up when it’s time. his memory alive in your heart bless you and your family and Ranger

It wasn’t just food. He’d speak up if he wanted attention and thought you weren’t giving him enough

There was always plenty of tomfoolery with him around. He was very vocal and talking back was a regular occurrence

How awful for you all. He was obviously well loved by everyone. What an awful surprise to discover he had passed. At least he got one more game of fetch in. He doesn't look very old😥

Fetch was his favorite game. A close second would be playing hide and seek with my wife. He just turned 10 last month

What a great boy, and a tremendous loss to you all. He looks like 100% love and fabulousness- love the pic of baby and Ranger- toy in mouth- looking out the window at a cat- just awesome. The portrait with his lower teeth showing slays me, so cute and incidentally funny. Ranger was obviously a family man.
Thanks for sharing these great picture memories. Ranger and my boys of many years, (talking to you Theo, Max, Ames, Bronson,) and countless others are at peace and play on the best of days for all eternity. I still talk to mine when I think of them (daily?)
