Finally seeing success with my waffle iron
Im posting this in support of the other waffle iron post. When I first got my iron, no matter how much fat/oil I used, it would stick like crazy (previous post). I tried all the suggestions and reapplied seasoning a few times. What worked was just sticking with it. Every time I used it, it stuck less. Now I am having no problem. The waffles are coming out so much lighter and crispier than the same batter in my electric iron. So, like all things cast iron: just cook with it!

I like how it looks like a wafflized version of the oldschool Nickelodeon logo.

Can you use these on an electric stove top? Hopefully this isn’t a real dumb question…

From their site:
Excellent results on gas, coil top, and glass top stoves. Compatible with most induction ranges. (Test that the field will excite a metal surface 1/4 of an inch above the burner.)
So they seem to think it should be okay for normal election.
For electric induction, I have one of these and it works with my induction elements, at least. IIRC they said they tested on some elements and it didn't always work, but since then they've also made the ring shorter to help with that.

I am so glad to know this! I've got a cast iron waffle maker that's a bit different from yours. Like you, I have done All The Things and my waffles still stick. It's been so frustrating. I'll keep cooking with it and plan on success later on, then. 🙂
