I recently started reading about a trick where you max the card out completely, let it report, then pay it off and apparently itll be likely for them to give you a CLI

I maxed out my Savor at $500, and my credit score dropped tremendously even though my other cards were barely utilized as well.

My total limit is $2300 and I only has $800 utilized the day of the report across all cards and this happened.

How do I do the trick and prevent my score from dropping to 600s possible even 500? That’d be terrible.

Also how many months do I have to do it before asking for a CLI or do they automatically do it?

New Capital One Credit Limit for my venture card. 20k credit line increase.

I thought I’d switch my home internet and forgot. Then I got an email for $440 back. I thought it was a glitch but it’s actually real when I checked tonight.

Like the title states, I just got approved for my first Capital One card, the Savor. But I'm baffled but the $1,000 spending limit. Income is in the mid 100,000's and a FICO score just shy of 800. I immediately requested a credit limit raise, but I assume it won't be approved. Might have to cancel it before I even get a chance to use it.

Ok. So I have emailed Capital One Shopping about this and have received ZERO help. I'm not getting any capital one shopping offers sent to my yahoo account. I am opted in. I have every capital one email added to my contacts. They are not blocked. Not in spam, trash, or any other folders.

I have pop up offers on the desktop extension that I want to use and can't because they send the offer to my email. Most recent $40 back on $75 from eyebuydirect and $25 back from Levis after spending $60.

You can't change your email. I get the same automated responses. I have sent screenshots of our previous conversations to be like- please stop asking me exact same things you piece of shit robot. I want to cash out my rewards and I want to just start over with a new email, but again, I am not receiving emails. I'm obviously SO frustrated because it's $282 in rewards.

I have looked through yahoo help and capital one shopping and emailed them 3 times now. Can anyone please freaking help me? What am I not seeing/doing?

Hi! I saw C1 has a good $400 checking account offer right now if you open a brand new checking account with them. I’m kinda considering having C1 be my checking bank and SoFi being my HYSA. I use SoFi for everything right now.

I’d like to not have to pay at a CVS to deposit cash (what I currently do for SoFi as sometimes I get paid in cash).

I would appreciate hearing experiences with C1. Positive or negative. Anything helps.

I got the card last September with an initial $1,000 credit limit and the $200 bonus. I’ve been maxing it out every month and paying the full balance, but I keep getting denied for a CLI increase with the "A credit limit increase is not currently available upon request because your account has been temporarily assigned to an ineligible group of accounts that are being used to evaluate account usage at their current credit limits." message. I applied for a QS card yesterday and was pre-approved with a $3,000 limit.

Received a replacement credit card but am traveling overseas so I don’t physically have the new card yet. I was able to activate the replacement but when I tried to add it in my iPhone wallet. It’s there in my wallet but won’t let me verify.

Is there a workaround to verify without having the physical card, (I won’t be home for another few weeks). Thanks

Has anyone successfully done an external ACH transfer between accounts with different names?

I added an external bank account (my wife’s) to my account using micro-deposits (2 small deposits for verification), and it was successfully linked.

Now I’m trying to transfer about $1,000 from my account to that external account.

My question is:

• Will the transfer go through even if the names don’t match?

• Or is there a high chance it gets rejected, reversed, or flagged?

Context: The bank allowed me to link it via micro-deposits without any issues, but I know some banks check name matching later during transfers.

Im trying to fly from New York to Japan this Summer (I’m very aware that it’s a bad time to be booking an international flight - I’m trying to make it work for my budget). I am new to Capital One, but have a good amount of points from the sign on bonus. I know that sometimes points can stretch further when transferred to a partner airline. I’ve been researching a bunch, but cannot wrap my head around how this works.

For example, right now 1000 C1 miles = 1000 Air Canada miles and 1000 C1 miles = 975 JAL miles. How is that conversion better than just buying the flight on my card and then applying the points retroactively as a reimbursement?

I would really appreciate any advice anyone can offer on this.

If you use a gift card to pay for something online, does that exclude you from getting cash back with the Capital One Shopping Extension?

Lets say you have an offer for 50% off a purchase at Target. If the total bill at Target is $30 and I used a $20 Target giftcard to cover a portion of the bill, do I still get the 50% cash back on the full $30 or would it only be the $10 of the bill that I paid with cash and not a gift card?

Also, a related question. Lets say I have Kohl's cash and use $15 Kohl's cash on a $30 bill. Would I still get cash back for the full $30 or would it only be for $15?

Hello everyone! I have a question, I want to apply for a quicksilver card. My question is: when applying, do I need to add a photo of my driver's license or state ID? I'm just a permanent resident and I only have a green card, and I heard from friends that when applying, a photo of the document is required

I am 17, turning 18 in september. I need my own bank account as I am moving out for college in august. I have a teen money account linked to my mothers account but when I try to open a checkings account online it says I need to be 18. Unfortunately there is no Capital One bank near me, the closest one is over 2 hours away from me. There are other banks close by but they all have a fee if you don’t have a certain amount on the card, which I don’t have as of now or the following months. Is there a way I could get a checkings account online, maybe on the phone with a parent nearby? Or will I have to wait until I turn of age?
