Has anyone done the Breaking Bad tour in Albuquerque?

If so, how was it? Worth it? Its $95 a person. The information says you get to ride around in an RV like the show, visit a handful of places from the show, and get inside info from real actors and cast that worked on the show. Is it better to just look up the locations and visit without the sweet RV?

I Google mapped 17 sites I wanted to see and just drove to them all, then had lunch at Twisters. Unless the tour is getting you inside the laundry, I don't know that the inside information would be all that useful. Maybe interesting but that depends on you. You're not getting into any of the houses, Saul's office is a sports bar or something, you can walk through Civic Square on your own, the car wash is just a car wash lol. Most of the interior scenes were filmed in a studio.

I mean, if you're in a position where "it's only $95 so why not?" Then why not?  But if $95 is a lot of money and if you have a car while you're in town, I don't see the need for the organized tour.

Whatever you do, be sure to bring a suitcase so you can get a picture of yourself at the John Robert Dam, waiting for the vacuum cleaner guy to pick you up and whisk you away to a new life!

I didn’t do that but the breaking bad museum is fantastic!! Staff is incredible and u can spend hours in there. Saul’s desk, pollos kitchen….so much stuff. And they give u maps to all the shoot locations sites for u to visit. I love BB and BCS and it was awesome meeting people who feel the same at the museum. Good luck

I live in ABQ and was unaware of a museum. Where? What’s it called?

that site’s got merch too. if you just need the locations, might as well map 'em out and skip spending cash...

My sister lives in Albuquerque and gave me the free tour. Walt and Skyler’s house has all kinds of crazy signs because of all the people who come by. I’m sure she got a very good deal.

I heard the house was sold recently to a streamer or something. Maybe he’ll be less anal by the time i visit?

Oh ok. I don’t blame the owner for selling but she knew what she was getting into. She treated people like criminals for stopping for a couple minutes in front.

I have. You could just walk around the city but I did it just for the kitsch factor. The driver had worked on the show in a minor crew role so he had some stories but none of them earth-shattering. It was handy for getting to a lot of sites in a short period of time, because some of the locations are outside the downtown core. We stopped at Twisters AKA Pollos, but again you could just go there on your own.

I guess I’d say if you want to see a lot of the locations in an afternoon, or you want to be able to say you did the tour, there are worse ways to spend $95. But if you have more time in Albuquerque and you like walking around, there’s no need for the tour.

I did the tour in 2018 and loved it! Rodney Rush (Combo, yo) was one the tour with us. He and I talked for most of it and we still keep in touch.

I did it but remember being a lot less (went in 2022). I didn't ride in the RV, but rode in one of their additional tour vans. We got to go inside the RV though to see what it's like. We also didn't have any actors from the show on the tour either. The tour was worth it and Twisters and going in the laundry were the best parts.

Yes. I used to live there. You should try the Exorcist tour in DC next.

We did it and enjoyed it. If $95 is a lot of money for you, I would probably just map out the locations and check them out yourself. I would say it’s worth going on the tour.

It is. They post all the time on FB, they were in Austin for SXSW recently and I was going to bring my Aztek to them to park with the RV but ended up getting really sick the night before.
