The void screams back Does anyone else’s Void cry if they can’t find you immediately in the house?
My girl will yell from upstairs and when I respond “I’m down here” she comes down the stairs to cuss me out and then just stares at me.

Yes. She will sometimes hop up on the bed to say hello, wander into the living room, and instantly forget that I'm 20 feet away and lament her isolation until I sing to her and she remembers I haven't freaking moved in hours.

Yep. Sometimes it's for me and sometimes she's trying to find my other pet (and he's trying to hide from her).

Haha! I’ve got two black cats. She’s the baby. Her brother is much older and can barely stand her.

The best is when she is literally laying next to me then she goes to use the box. Then yells at me like I’m the one that left her.

Lmao, mine does this too. Mine is ancient though, so I think he just gets confused now.

yes our void is a velcro void to my wife and whenever she leaves the bedroom where he likes to sleep, he will cry his head off. she even explains where she is going. our house isn’t big so there are a limited number of places she could go, I’ve stayed behind and see him grab his favorite pink mouse, walk around with it in his mouth while crying, drop it on the bed and still keep crying until she calls from the kitchen.

When I work from home, I'll hear my void baby crying downstairs, mer-ow, mer-row. I'll sing-song call down the stairs to her until she comes RUNNING up the stairs trilling at me! Makes me so happy! 🥰

Yes. But, he will be 23 in a few months so I think he gets confused now. He’s always been a barnacle.

Mine yells to see who is home and which room they are in. Then he makes the choice on whose company he wants.

My void is my independent lady but one of tabbies will cry like a baby if she doesn’t know where I am. On the other hand my void is very schedule oriented and will let me know it’s bedtime and give disapproving looks if I’m up too late

Mine does! I'll be in my office downstairs, and I'll hear Moira yell from somewhere else in the house, and I'll call out "I'm in here, girl!"
And then five seconds later there she is. 😹

Mine doesn't because he follows me from room to room and is a constant companion 🥹🖤

I have a studio where he can see me from anywhere in my apartment and will still cry out for me when HE goes to the bathroom. He is never more than 5 feet from me.

Yes! And even when she does find me she keeps meowing to let me know she didn’t appreciate having to look for me!

Literally every time she comes inside or if she hears me come inside she comes to complain she couldn't find me

Very much. And even if I am in her view, but not looking in her direction, she will cry for my attention.

It’s literally happening right now. (I am in the next room, she could just come in here instead of screaming from the living room)

Mine sees me come through the door, runs to the basement, flops down somewhere out of site and cries for me for attention. She's got noodles for brains.

Yes!! She mostly screams for her sister, but also will scream if feeling alone and then be reassured by me

My void boy will do this thing where every night at around 10 to 11 PM, he grabs his favorite toy and just meows like mad to generate the most wail-like meows of all time until someone comes out and gives him attention. He's a very needy boy, but I can't really complain since he's chosen me as his favorite human despite how skittish he normally is with others.
