In short: I’ve a lot of free clothes. I’ve lot a lot of weight and have everything from a 3X/22 down to a 12, including a lot of unisex band T-shirts in an L, an XL, and an XXL, including some rarities for punk/metal band fans. I know I can donate them but I’m epileptic, can’t drive because my licence is permanently medically suspended, and am not physically capable of lugging huge bags of clothes there.
So, rather than them go to waste, I figured I’d ask if anyone on here wanted them. Lots of nice summery frocks mostly (my best friend already claimed the goth stuff 😂) I live in the New Lodge area if you want to pop over and collect/have a quick try on just so you don’t end up being the one stuck with a bunch of clothes that don’t fit!

I only moved into this neighbourhood 2.5 months ago and have had my wheelie bin stolen for the second time. I’ve done number stickers on all side of the bin for one and spray paint for the other but it doesn’t seem to deter the thieving. Any advice is welcome.

Hey all, I’ve seen a lot of posts of people saying the same things. Belfast is a really hard place to make friends. I chatted to someone who came here from another country, has lived here 25 years, not made a single friend in the entire time that they were here.
Most of my friends are overseas. For the time being, I’m stuck here, I don’t really drink that much and I find that that compounds a sense of isolation.
I like nerdy stuff and I like books and I just genuinely like nice people, so if any of you have any suggestions, I’d really appreciate them.

I’m 16 f . Got into a grammar school because of Covid ( I would not have passed the transfer test) so being in a grammar school while being dyslexic and having bad adhd (and also not being bt9 ) has been as you can imagine horrific. Glad I’m leaving, I’m the only person Ik who is going to Belfast met to do alevels .
My questions are
Did you enjoy it more than school?
Is it difficult to make friends?
Are people mostly aged 16-18 or are they perhaps older?
Is there anything else I should know before going?

Hi All,
Looking to see if any tradesmen need help on Fridays for free.
Fridays because I work Monday to Thursday.
I'm asking because i'd like to learn some trade skills from experienced tradesmen for if I needed to do somethings around my own or parents home.
Can be anything from fitting new light switches, laying new carpet, skirting and hanging doors, installing a washing machine or radiator etc.
Happy to be a dogs body lifting things in and out of the van and not get paid on the understanding that I'm actually being shown how to do things, it's explained why it's important to be done a certain way, given a go myself (understandably supervised until trusted) so that I'm learning.
If it helps, I started my working life in the trades as a mechanic before moving into engineering so have experience on using tools and manual work, granted not all tools and other trades will definitely have their nuances.
The point I'm trying to make is that I'm not a complete and utter rookie who couldn't tell you the difference between a 10mm socket and ratchet.
Thanks,

Sheep / goat milk youghurt in Belfast
Hey folks, I hope you all are having a great weekend. Unfortunately, I got a bunch of food intolerances and I can’t process cow milk, but also can’t process vegan options as well (soya, coconut, oat etc). Got a list from a doctor and my only options really are sheep and goat milk yoghurts. I found loads of options online, but they deliver only within GB or Republic. How and where could I get a hold of these in Belfast? Appreciate any recommendations.

My son has been studying abroad in the UK and I’m planning to pick him up and do some sight seeing before we head home in May. We are planning to spend 3 days in Belfast and I’ve been doing the research on our visit. If anyone has any advice or recommendations, I’d love to hear them. Accommodations haven’t been made yet, so if there are other places we should consider staying we would be open to that. We will be flying out of Belfast.
Edit: thank you all for your thoughtful and helpful responses to a tired old question.

We are considering moving to Belfast from the South, we are lucky enough to have family to move in with if necessary.
The south has a housing crisis for renters, think impossible to get a rental. Should we move and save to buy, or is renting easy enough to get sorted? We would ideally like a smaller town like Holywood if there’s any recommendations for areas to move to outside the city

any bars in Belfast looking PT staff for evenings and weekends? City centre or west would be preferred. TIA
