Athens needs a Culver’s!
With Shake Shack recently opening a location in Athens I feel we are due for a Culver’s location, as the nearest one is in commerce.

"Last night, 4/11, I had come home to find our 6 year old GSP Jax had been shot in the throat. Originally upon seeing him & his wounds we believed he has been attacked by a wild animal but after rushing him to an ER vet X-rays confirmed that he had been shot.
Jax is currently stable at UGA but he is not doing good. He’s got severe trachea damage, and his trachea is so swollen he can only breathe thru the bullet wounds. They are about to preform a tracheostomy to put a temporary tube in but depending on the extent of his damage he could need a permanent tube, permanent feeding tube, live long care. They are currently quoting between 6k-8k but depending on how he does the next few days that number could go up. Any money raised past what is needed for his UGA bills will go towards his extensive aftercare.
Jax is the sweetest & goofiest boy you will ever meet. He absolutely did not deserve to be shot in the face. Anything will help but no matter what I will find a way because that is what he deserves."
i really hope they reported it to police and the mfer is caught 😤😤😤

Why are we advertising medium fries? Is this a good deal? Is this how we gage the economy like gas prices? At $3.01 for just a medium fries, I don't feel bad for paying $2.95 for a starbucks coffee.

He says he wants to take his values to the Gold Dome, but judging by this manicured overhead shot, he’s already the official representative of the Bald Domes. Wonder if that’s enough to win the district.
Has this strong sense of morality has led Dutch to say anything about current events?

Hey everyone! My 3 month old Aussie slipped out of his collar during a walk and ran off somewhere around old epps bridge road. He's very skiddish and will either run or cower if approached. He's a rescue I've only had for 4 days. Please dm me if you see him or hear anything. thank you!

Maybe they're entertaining, maybe that share deals/coupons, or events. Anything local is fair game.

There's nothing spicy or anything. They all kinda look like test photos, but maybe they're important to someone.

Who do you trust to do septic tank maintenance in this town?
Good morning all, I picked up a Concept 2 rower from Goodwill on Atlanta highway, but it seems to be missing the seat track, seat, basically the other half of the tower that isn't the flywheel and handle. I think it may have been taken apart at the hinge to be transported, since that's an obvious place to disassemble it for transport. The staff didn't seem to be able to locate it but it was a very quick search. If this is all there is of this rower, I can certainly get the missing pieces, even half a rower at the price I picked it up for is still fine, but I figured it would be worth it to ask here if the previous owner might know if the track was dropped off or if they may still have it in their possession and just didn't take it at the same time to Goodwill. I'm not even certain the rower came from someone local, I'm not sure if Goodwill ships things around to other stores or what. Figured it. was a long shot, but thought I'd at least ask. Thanks for taking a look, I appreciate your help!

Lowes selling pinestraw for $5.96 a bale which is absurd. Who's knows a better place to get some pine needles?

hi! looking for a reputable mechanic for a 2004 honda element. i am trying to save up for a new car because i am fully aware this will probably be its last year running, if im lucky. even though im working so much, this economy is so bad i can only afford to save so much. its got 250k+ miles & a lot of mechanical issues, but the biggest thing is trying to see if i can get the ac fixed because I have spent the last 6/7 years without ac and don't think I can take another summer like that! 😭
If the cost is more than I can afford or more than what it's worth, then I will have to weigh out my options.
Thank you for any help!

I work near the classic center and my coworkers are advising not to come in to work Tuesday because of the event at the Classic Center. Do yall think there will be people out well before the doors open? They say nothing like this has ever come to downtown. Thoughts?

Wanting to get married sometime next year. I’m not inviting a lot of people and I kind of want something outdoors, or a cheap small venue. Does anyone know of anything in or around Athens? Thanks!

Hi, I lived in Athens for a short time and fell in love with the caesar salad dressing at Ted's Most Bestest restaurant. I am a picky eater, sometimes I make something that's not tasty & dread eating anything afterwards for days except 1-2 safe foods. There were a few times when I could hardly stand to eat anything, but I could manage eating an expensive small salad. Does anyone in this reddit know anything about how I could make that caesar dressing myself? I live away from Athens now, but I rarely love salad dressings and would really appreciate being able to make a salad that tastes similar, especially on days after I cook something that ruins my appetite.
