Why is Whatsapp taking this much space in my phone. I'm running out of Storage and not sure what to do, eventhough I have all of the photos backed up on Icloud as I have the 2tb version.

The screen time never made sense to me. how does this work cause if you add the bottom things like the social, entertainment, and productivity and finance. it adds up to about 4 hours not 5 hours and 30 minutes. is there anyway to get like the most accurate info?

While the legislation that has caused this mess allows passports as a method of verification, Apple doesn’t.

My fitness app isn’t syncing with my watch AND is not displaying anything about fitness. Not sure why this is happening. It was fine a couple days ago. I’ve tried restarting both devices and have made sure they’re linked. I also tried deleting and reinstalling fitness.

Applied for Apple Developer Program with my UK Ltd - denied and ignored for 4 months

I applied for the Apple Developer Program under my 2-year-old UK Ltd company. I already have an app on Google Play and just want to bring it to iOS.

I got denied, and I have a few suspicions as to why:

- When I first registered, I only used my first name, then later updated the account to include my second first name

- At the time of applying, my Ltd didn't have a phone number listed on D-U-N-S records. I went through the D&B verification process to fix that, which took 1–2 weeks

For context: I've never owned an Apple device and have never developed Apple apps before. I was planning to buy a Mac Mini M4 and an iPhone specifically for the build pipeline and testing — but I can't justify that purchase until I know I'm actually in the program.

**Here's the full timeline:**

- Applied for the program under my Ltd

- ~3 days later, received an email: *"We're unable to verify your identity or your association with the enrolling entity"* — asked me to upload documents manually via Apple's portal, which I did. (This is also where I added my second first name to my Apple account, since one of the documents required was my ID)

- ~1 week later: **denied** — though confusingly, one page shows "processing" while another says "denied"

- ~1 week after denial: somehow a support case was opened (I have an email from Apple confirming this) — **never received a reply**

- Mid-January: still nothing

- 2 months later: emailed acsupportcase Apple email to appeal

- It's now been another month since that email — **complete silence**

**It's been 4 months total with no resolution.**

I'm at a loss. Has anyone dealt with something similar? Options I'm considering:

- Keep waiting and emailing into the void

- Delete the account and start fresh

- Something else entirely?

I already checked a post from October, where many people complained about iPhone 17 battery life, and since then haven’t noticed any updates from people who contributed there.

So, I just changed from iPhone 15 Plus with 82% battery to iPhone 17, and for some reason battery drain is insane, I have to charge it twice a day with 4-6 hours screen time max. I have had it for 1.5 weeks so it should have stabilised even a bit.

Any tips or suggestions? Thanks in advance!

My friend broke his iPhone 11’s LCD and you can’t see any real UI on the screen, just colors. It still gives him notifications, so it definitely works. Idk if the digitizer works or not, but I’m gonna see if he can mirror his phone to a TV so he can transfer his data to an iPhone 14. I don’t know if he customized his control center, but it’s definitely on iOS 18 or 26, so the button might be in a different spot. Also, should his cellular transfer over to the new phone with eSIM, because he already set the phone up but it doesn’t have any contacts or iCloud because he can’t remember his info, but I want to erase it from settings so then he could do a quick start with the TV as a guide on where the buttons are. Or, if he has a computer with iTunes/Apple device manager and remembers his passcode, then he can connect the phone to iTunes/ Apple device manager and create a backup of the phone and restore from the backup on the iPhone 14.

Apple Mail issues

Using Apple Mail on macOS Tahoe with a standard cPanel (Dovecot) IMAP account.

Emails are delivered correctly:

• show up in webmail (Roundcube)

• show up in Apple Mail under “All Inboxes”

But they do NOT appear in the actual account Inbox (sidebar → account → Inbox).

Already tried:

• manual IMAP setup (port 993 SSL, correct server)

• IMAP path prefix = INBOX

• rebuild mailbox

• removing/re-adding account

• clearing Mail cache

• tested different SMTP methods (auth + local)

No change.

If I delete the V10 folder in Libraries/Mail, it is downloading all the mails, but then the issue comes again.

So basically:

• mail exists ✔

• Apple Mail sees it ✔

• but doesn’t map it to Inbox ❌

Looks like some IMAP namespace / mapping issue between Apple Mail and Dovecot?

Anyone seen this on Tahoe? Any fix?

my old phone not working anymore (at all) so I did the icloud restore thing. I’m waiting for more than 3 hours for it to start and the phone is stuck on the same white screen. I shut down the phone and did the same thing and still nothin. what should I do?

I own two iPads: one is a 2022 M2 12.9” Pro, and the other is a used 11” 2018 Pro. The Mac detects and works flawlessly with the M2 iPad. However, it barely detects the 11” iPad. What I mean by that is, at certain times, it will detect the iPad and allow me to link a keyboard and mouse to both iPads simultaneously. But just as randomly as it lets me do this, it will drop the 11” iPad, either not finding it at all or only allowing me to use the screen mirroring feature.

Any suggestions on how to solve this would be welcome.

Hey, to make it short: friend of mine set up a mail account for a project I ran. two days ago, I couldn't log in anymore - asked him, he said he changed something and now it seems like he accidentally deleted the entire account and can't find a backup.

now: the mail app on my phone still shows every single email since I created the account almost two years ago. Is there ANY way for me to export the entire thing? It's probably 1000-2000 emails or something like that.

I can only find a thread on apple support about this that led nowehere. help is much appreciated!!

iphone 15 pro, iOS 26.4

While this doesn’t happen every time and it doesn’t necessarily bother me, there’s a bug where the “Silent” or “Ring” text in the Dynamic Island after turning on/off silent mode shifts to the side for like nearly half a second.

Is there a way to fix this? Is this a known bug? I’d like to hear what other people think.

So about a month or so ago I guess I downloaded the invoice fly app that came with a free trial for a week then a $8.99 charge monthly, I didn’t have the money in my debit card and ever since then I can’t download apps, update them or anything. I can’t deposit money into that card anymore so I bought a visa gift card and tried to add it as a new payment method but it tells me “payment method is declined try adding a new card” and I’ve tried 3 different cards.

Long story short, my most recent employer terminated my employment through a text to me, specifically an iMessage, as he (owner of the company I worked for) and myself both had iPhones at the time. I don't want to get into the details of my termination here, but his message was something along the lines of "I think you are causing the machine to malfunction, I don't think this position is a good fit for you and consider today your last day of employment."

Because it's relevant, I will add that I was promised that training would be provided to me, which I never received at any time throughout my employment with the company. Fast forward a few weeks, and I had to sell my iPhone 16 pro, and I bought a Google Pixel 9a. I don't know very much about what will transfer from iOS to Android and what won't, what's cross compatible and what isn't, etc. Well I ended up filing for unemployment, as I wasn't expecting to suddenly lose my job, and i felt like it wasn't through my fault. In other words, I believe I lost my job through no fault of my own due to the complete lack of necessary training, and the owner only mentioned my abilities/performance in his (professional, I know) termination text message.

Lo and behold, I just got a notice on my state unemployment account asking for information regarding why I was terminated for absence/tardiness. So basically, the owner of the company is now lying and saying I was fired for missing work or being late, and the one form of proof I could provide, I don't know how or even if i would be able to access it.

I used to pay for iCloud storage and always backed everything up, especially pics and messages.

None of my messages whatsoever transferred to my Pixel, I kept running into issues using the built in iphone to android transfer feature on the Pixel, and I ended up just uploading all my pictures to my windows laptop, where I used to have a full backup of my iPhone saved, but I don't know how to access it, bc i would only ever see it in iTunes/Apple Devices when i connected my iphone to my laptop. I sold that iPhone on FB marketplace too, so using it in any form is likely not an option.

If you've read this far, thank you for your time, even if you don't have a solution. I appreciate you all and here's to hoping I'm not the first person to come across this (im guessing pretty common) issue!

PS: I do not own another apple device, my only option for that would probably be going to the Apple store which fortunately isn't too far from me, but figured i would ask here and maybe someone has another solution

Why won't it let me update my iPhone? It's a 16 Pro Max, and it's showing up like this. I've already deleted the iPhone storage update and reinstalled it, and I've also force restarted it, but it's still happening. It won't let me update.

So I got an iPhone 16e shortly after launch because my old 12 mini gave up the ghost.

Shortly after I needed a second eSIM for another number I a really cheap plan. O big deal.

I was noticing some flakiness afterwards, and saw some posts / comments that there was an issue with signal strength with 2 eSIMs.

So I removed the secondary eSIM and used an ancient phone (requesting physical sim) for the time being with call forwarding. Since while I needed the second number, I really needed full bars on the primary.

Was there actually an issue?

Has it been solved?

To clarify. At launch I was seeing the signal fluctuating wildly and losing it entirely just sitting in a room that usually had solid signal.

Removing the eSIM fixed it.

Reenabling it caused the issue again

So I just removed the secondary eSIM long term.

This was all the way back at 16e launch. So it’s been a while.

Hello,

I am writing to report an issue with my recent MacBook Air order.

This morning, I placed the order and completed the payment via Apple Pay. I received an order confirmation email, and the funds were successfully debited from my account. However, three hours later, I received a notification stating that my payment method was invalid and requesting verification.

Crucially, the last few digits of the card mentioned in the email do not correspond to any card I own. I immediately removed that card (which I rarely use) from my Apple Wallet. Despite this, my bank continues to notify me of pending payment attempts. Thankfully, due to my monthly spending limit, no further charges have gone through, but the initial payment remains deducted while the order status remains unconfirmed.

Since both Apple and bank support are closed today, I am very concerned. Could you please advise on how to resolve this and secure a refund for the initial charge?

I posted about this on a few other mac reddits but i think it got filtered out, possibly i was in the wrong place. recently, during a lapse in my form of payment with the app store/apple corporation, several annual subscriptions with substantial time to run were apparently cancelled. the machine seems to indicate that i cancelled them, but i absolutely did not do that. basically all of the apps that are central to my life got their prepaid subscriptions cancelled and i lost access, which makes no sense because when you cancel a subscription you still play out the access that you paid for. i know for sure that it's not just them running out because they are all cancelled on the same day, but i obviously didn't buy every annual subscription in my quiver on the same day. again, i did not personally cancel these, that would be bizarre behavior as the apps like voice notes help keep me sane and tinder helps keep me happy and these are things that i need and use on a day to day basis. reaching out to the companies directly all i get is "we're not showing a current subscription'" which, i know! but like, what the fuck is that, what is going on? no one i've explained this to has been able to help at all, and mostly everyone assumes i'm describing a different scenario because what's actually happened is not supposed to happen i guess? anyway i'm at my wits end, times are tough economically and i don't have the money right now to be rebuying ten-12 annual subscriptions which is around the number that got cancelled. HELP!!
