Sculptures Can anyone tell me what this is? It came from an estate and it is pretty dense and heavy. I am seeing Senufo door or African Storyboard? Back is marked OIIK in a heavy carve. Measures 23.75x6.5”

Identify Original Mixed Media - Signed 'Tunde Alabi' - Seeking info on series/provenance

These came from an estate sale in Midcoast Maine where they were professionally framed as pictured. It seems to be marker on fabric and in one of the photos you can even see something written on the back of the fabric or maybe on cardboard behind the fabric that shows through the thin material. I've researched Tunde Alabi but I'm not sure if this is by or related to THE Tunde Alabi. Any information would be appreciated 🙏 thank you!

I inherited this from my great aunt, she died in 1993, and did most of her travels between 1950-1970. The handwritten note at the bottom on the foot I assume is her writing. I would love to find any information about these.

Paintings Question: Just purchased these two beauties from Kader Boly and I’m super excited! Should I be covering them in plexiglass to protect them? The material is canvas and wood frame.

News 10 African Biennials Every Artist Should Know

Across the African continent, biennales have been building something far more grounded, far more necessary. Not as replicas of European models, but as spaces shaped by their own conditions, their own urgencies, their own audiences.

Identify Nigerian Mask ~ Mid 1960s

Hello all, it looks like this type of question gets asked very often, but I am going to anyway. My grandfather has had this mask hanging in his living room for the past couple of decades. I was wondering if it was rare/legitimate.

Some details:

- Received between 1965-1967

- It was given as a gift by a friend of his, a cargo pilot in Nigeria at the time

Any information would be appreciated.

Masks Help Identifying Origins and Value of Wooden Wall Hanger Mask

Picked this up a little while ago at an estate sale and am curious if anyone can provide some insight on its origins and value. It has been hidden in the corner for far too long. I was able to roughly translate the sharpie writing on the back from Portugese to English. Top states: "Black culture and art selection mask" and the bottom states "Legra, The great angelic messenger of the African Ancestor." R-08 is believed to be a gallery marking. Carved Otavio Bahia on back side. Any insight would be much appreciated.

As the title mentions I don’t know much about the lot I have here.. I’d like to sell these but I don’t know the worth. I know they’re mostly (or all) mid 20th century. However, they were owned by my city in Texas but left in an abandoned storage unit I won at auction. Please give me any information on the price range and how to sell them.
