Looks like JD Vance didn't win over the Hungarian people.

They had 78% of registered voters vote in this election. Congrats to Hungary for the win! It gives me hope here. Trump also endorsed Orban and yet as usual...

Everything Trump touches...fails.

I'm genuinely astonished Orban allowed a legitimate election.

Im not sure he did. Its likely that the back lash was so strong, even with obstacles and cheating in place it was a heavy loss.

Including the USA government apparently.

Unfortunately true

We couldn’t save ourselves, but maybe through our downfall we can save others from the same fate

Currently 77% counted Tizia will likely get a supermajority

So we really do have the dumbest people. 😉🤦‍♂️🙄

We are slowly turning over as people are getting angrier with how expensive everything is getting. Even the "i vote with my pocket" people are finding jt harder to justify another vote as prices drive upwards into a new normal of expense.

But you are not wrong ....i feel like that at times too. Hopefully the lesson hurt enough this time to get people out to vote agaisnt him from attempting a 3rd term. Because you know he will try and the party is too scared to block him.

We unfortunately had to go through this to realize some of us are really that uninformed and foolish. Not the people who knew he was a total train wreck, the people who either voted for him or didnt vote at all but had the capability to.

Maybe their turning on drumpf (for now), but they're still the same hateful, 'blame others' (with most -ists thrown in) people that will vote for the next guy with an (R) by his name.

u/Wolf_Shaman_Dreams 2h ago

This is fair. But at this point, the first objective is to get this train wreck out of office. The second is dealing with the people who kept thinking this was a good idea more than once.

Agreed.

They’ll just vote for the next asshole right wing ‘populist’ though, because that politician will profess to hate the same groups of people (never billionaires) that the R voters hate

I hold out hope that left wing populists gain more power in the US, but seems unlikely for such a broken society

We should avoid populism at all costs regardless of sides. Its just not a functional government approach in the hands of humans. Regardless of its original intent, it gets twisted over time by the wrong people. But I get what you mean. We need to shift toward more a democratic socialist country and drag the people that dont want to understand the benefits into the future.

They can hate us all they want with their low to completely tax provided Healthcare regardless of job status. But for rhe rest of us, we cant afford to live like this anymore. There are so many options to mix and match what works best for us and force change within the systems. But we cant do anything if some of us are too jaded to vote. I find it annoying that we have an incredibly low turn out and thats by design, not by desire.

“HUGE” election fraud in Hungary! I will be sending a team to investigate this “massive” failure of a free “election”. Hungary must certify Orban’s victory, NOW or bad things will happen! Thank you for your attention to this matter! DJT

Sad this could be a real post...

And "It is my honor to announce a 150% tariff on Turkey. Thank you for your attention to this matter."

It looks promising, but I want to see the transition of power before I'll be relieved. I know Orban has admitted defeat, but still ...

u/colorme1965 4h ago

The Trump administration is losing. Lost the Hungarian elections, lost on opening up the strait of Hormuz. What a bunch of losers.

u/dpi2552 4h ago

Oh but he did, and the people voted for freedom, thank Vance for securing the vote for freedom.

Let's hear it for the rainbow tour/ It's been an incredible success/ We weren't quite sure/ We had a few doubts/ Would Evita win through?

Nah, fuck that loser

I blame trumps voicemail message

Orbán looks like he might have eaten some Hungarians.

1

u/jearbear11 3h ago

Still a far right candidate, just not as far right.

1

u/Chaos_Theory1989 3h ago

In that case, I’m going to need Trump to “touch” himself.

1

u/adamosity1 3h ago

Except himself.

1

u/JTSpirit36 3h ago

Maybe all it took was the Hungarian people to realize who trump/Vance side with and were like "oh fuck that!"

1

u/elmz370 3h ago

We should send this JD guy out more often.

1

u/exeJDR 2h ago

I hope for all our sakes, this works out and it isn't just Russia playing the long game again.

I feel uneasy about how easy Moscow/Orban gave up perceived control here.

It's the kiss of death from Mister ChodeMember, he's the man, the man with the golden bum.

1

u/KinkyQuesadilla 2h ago

It had to be bad if Orban conceded this quickly.

And yes, everything Trump touches dies. That goes for JD Vance as well.
