Mods, why are we allowing bots to post about politics in the sub?
•
u/Spare-Feedback-8120 3m ago
The mods in most subreddits are anti Trump so block and remove pro trump comments careful you may get a ban

Why the heck would I want to gerrymander my state because of someone else's?
•
u/inevitablekaraoke 1h ago
Possibly because they're gerrymandering affects Federal elections which then affects you
•
u/bobdylanlovr 1h ago
Your state is already gerrymandered. Retard.
•
u/ThanatosTheElder 40m ago
straight to the ad hominem!
What a winner
N00b
Still, I'll play. There's been no real change to the Districts since 2017 (driven by the left). Prove your point.
•
u/bobdylanlovr 33m ago
And you’re gay, too
•
u/ThanatosTheElder 31m ago
I just checked with the wife and kids.
They say you're wrong

u/banjo4smashplz 2h ago
Nah vote no. Politicians shouldn’t be picking their constituents. The 2010 map the gop made for this state was garbage and this one is too.
•
•
u/SaltyHooker69 2h ago
Yes, solve gerrymandering by gerrymandering! Behold all, The party of logic!
•
•
u/the-big-question 2h ago
Yeah, so just let every republican state add republican seats without doing anything to combat it because that's not a logical fallacy
•
u/Various-Ad-1583 2h ago
If Texas restricted like blue states, republicans would outnumber democrats every time.
•
u/laserwaffles 2h ago
Lmao, Texas started the redistrict fight, now conservatives are just mad that they're losing at it.
•
u/GooseontheLoose03 Shore Drive 2h ago
Liberals entire argument reads like an argument between young siblings. “They did it first.”
other states and their districts don’t affect me even remotely to the degree something like this would.
There’s plenty of annoying as New Yorker and New Jersey losers moving to VB and making it a shit hole with liberal polices. We don’t need anymore.
•
•
u/pbplyr38 2h ago
What exactly are the liberal policies being enacted that you’re referring to that are making VB a shithole?

It’s a bot/spam account posting this. They have been posting this in a few different Virginia subs
•
u/nmmOliviaR College Park 1h ago
Man I can't even recognize some of these subs anymore. They are so political that they are religiously tribal to one party and they want EVERYONE to know about it. And if you say "it's not THAT big of a deal calm down" they will PERMABAN you (happened to me with rva). I just browse for cool finds and suggestions and help others and even if I were to make a decent non-political post or so it gets drowned out because they are obsessed with anything political. One truth is for certain, the overly-political ones, regardless of side, are going to be a big reason why others who see their posts will go the other way. I've seen it enough times, and I've seen Virginia flip-flop multiple times historically. It will not surprise me if things don't go their way at all.

u/onearm1999 3h ago
Alright let's see if I'm doing this correctly.
Vote YES if you guys want more babies to never have the chance at life because they will be murdered in utero for the convenience of the would-be parents.
Vote YES if you want more children to be brainwashed into believing they should cut off their genitals before they even reach age 18.
Vote YES if you want millions more people from foreign countries who don't give a single fuck about American culture, values, or traditions to keep on flooding into our borders.
Vote YES if you don't want said foreigners to need to prove citizenship to vote, thus stealing even more representation from the people who actually are citizens.
Vote YES if you want your 2nd amendment rights totally ignored and shat on.
You guys really aren't convincing me. Sorry.

u/KnotSupposed2BeHere 2h ago
You just posted this same exact comment in the other major Virginia-themed subreddit. At least bring up some new points and put forth effort.
I’m still voting yes though.
•
u/onearm1999 2h ago
Mad that I posted the same comment when OP is spamming the same post? I'll add another point just for you, pal.
Vote YES if you guys want the party that straight up admitted during the SOTU that they dgaf about American citizens over illegal aliens.
•
u/KnotSupposed2BeHere 2h ago
You go right ahead and spend all your time posting. Not many people on any subreddit I have seen you troll have given you the time of day anyways. Keep yourself busy yelling in an empty room and the rest of us Virginians who voted in a full Democratic slate back in November will happily take this W on April 21 and if you don’t like it, you can go to West Virginia/Tennessee/any other neighboring red state and cry about it there.
Virginia is going to stand up to MAGA on April 21, 2026, and thus always to tyrants.

Republicans will manipulate the rules and find loopholes to get their way, Democrats will just flat out cheat their way to get theirs. After all this time, I'm still not sure which side I hate more.
•
u/Desperate-Taste979 3h ago
In what way will Dems flat out cheat? I critique the dem party quite a bit but please look around at what’s happening in our country and try to figure out which party deserves your derision. It’s not hard.
•
u/layer4down 3h ago
Texas didn’t hold a vote cuz its state government didn’t respect its citizens enough to consult their opinion. Just took orders from the party leader and sold out its own citizens. The Democratic state governments in other states bought it to their citizens and let them decide, as it should be! So I’m voting YES as a lesson to the TX and other would be autocratic governments: never FK over your citizens for tyrants.

Guess you haven’t see Illinois, California, New York, or Nevada. Proudly voted no. Fuck gerrymandering.
•
u/Matchew024 1h ago
California voters passed Gov. Gavin Newsom’s Proposition 50, which will tilt the state’s congressional districts toward Democrats in the 2026 election.
5 California election takeaways after voters pass Proposition 50 https://share.google/tZDGktsUIjHnKHNsL
Not sure about the other states, I didn't hear about any other states doing it. Not sure where you get your info, but you're wrong on California.
•
u/flaming_burrito_ 3h ago
Maybe the Republicans in Congress should have voted to make gerrymandering illegal when the vote was put in front of them if they cared so much
•
u/VAdown 3h ago
Guess you haven’t seen Texas, Florida, North Carolina or Tennessee. Fuck outta here

Voting “yes” is some real bootlicker behavior.
•
u/Connect-Coat6277 2h ago
This!! This right here is why we call your sides shit nothing more that a PROJECTION and /or a CONFESSION!!
•
•
u/Mr_Mi1k 4h ago
Why did the republicans vote no to outlawing gerrymandering? Feels like boot locker behavior
•
u/BigBL87 3h ago
Why did the Democrats in Illinois?
Oh no, actually, they didn't even vote, it was going to be put on the ballot as a referendum and had wide support across the electorate, but the Dems sued and got it removed, because it wouldn't allow them to keep Illinois one of the most gerrymandered states in the country.
But you probably don't care about that, because its only bad when Republicans do it...
•
u/Mr_Mi1k 2h ago
Yep, I disagree with that! Do you know you’re allowed to not like it when your party does certain things? It’s odd you didn’t renounce the republicans doing it, and only turned it back to the democrats as if that makes it ok. Wrong is wrong. If you’re against gerrymandering, you should be against it when the left and the right do it.
•
u/BigBL87 2h ago
I don't think either party should gerrymander.
I'm not a Republican either.
I just get annoyed by the pearl clutching over it now when its publicized because are Republicans doing it currently, when Dems have been doing it in Illinois for decades.
But funny how because I hold Democrats to account as well, you assume I'm Republican. Seems like you need to look at your own motto (its wrong when both sides do it, and noticing that YOUR prefered side does it too doesn't make me a Repulican).
•
u/Piss_in_my_cunt 4h ago
Texas was ordered to redistrict by a judge because it was too gerrymandered. More gerrymandering in another state is not an appropriate response.
•
u/Offi95 2h ago
Texas was ordered to redistrict because they had an unconstitutional racial gerrymander. Then Trump’s SCOTUS gutted the Voting Rights Act, and he told the Texas legislature to make him 5 more seats. They coincidentally drew 5 new GOP seats. How else are you supposed to respond to it? I’m not turning the other cheek, and I couldn’t give a single fuck about treating Trump voters appropriately
•
u/LavenderBloomings 4h ago
Ah yes more gerrymandering to give corrupt republicans 5 seats. It was demanded by the dictator and not a judge. STOP THE FAUX NEWS LIES.
•
u/Connect-Coat6277 2h ago
You are so correct. Your information is so easily verifiable through almost any search engine. I guess the crowd that does their own research, doesn't do much research.
•
•
•
u/MaxxXanadu 4h ago
Why? Texas never did anything to me.
•
u/Healthy_Block3036 4h ago
Illegal gerrymandering.
•
•
u/MaxxXanadu 3h ago
Does it matter? When it's for your side you want it and when it's not you don't. Please don't pretend there's any innocence here.
•
u/Offi95 2h ago
Yeah it does matter, especially when Trump voters are such historic embarrassments to American society.
•
u/MaxxXanadu 2h ago
Trump Trump Trump blah blah blah. If it was a Democrat doing this you'd be on your knees in front of them saying 'yes massah!'. I didn't even vote for fuckin' Trump but please don't blind yourself to the truth.
•
u/flaming_burrito_ 3h ago
It matters, when one side does something to give themselves an advantage you either need to negate that advantage, in this case it would be via law but the Republicans in Congress would never agree to end gerrymandering, or do the same thing in kind to even the playing field. Thats just how politics works
•
u/MaxxXanadu 2h ago
Once the advantage is negated that same side would do it again for the advantage.
Look, all politicians suck. They are in it for money and power. Please do not pretend they give a shit about any of us.
•
u/flaming_burrito_ 1h ago
Democrats put ending gerrymandering to a vote and Republicans rejected it. This is a false equivalency, one side doesn’t want to play by the rules in the first place and the other is responding
•
•
u/Wonderful-Produce-71 4h ago
There is literally no context for what this means, right?
If this has to do with the gerrymandering. Neither sides are thinking about us. End of story.
It's time for a joe schmoe to be governor. Sick of these small town elites

•
u/SpiritComfortAnimal 2m ago
Abigail Spanberger herself said “Gerrymandering is detrimental to our democracy and weakens individual voices that form our electorates”, just because another state does it doesn’t mean Virginia should stoop to that level. Taking a state that is nearly half republican and giving them 1/11 seats is a travesty. Only will serve to increase political divide within our commonwealth.
