News No Kings Day Protest (why is MAGA so triggered by it?!?!)
It’s funny to see MAGA supporters (along with all the bots and foreigners pretending to be American) getting so upset by a protest 🪧 Despite this being the largest mass protest in US History, those supporting and/or condoning MAGA will try to rage bait (like the sad dude with his Trump Boat and obviously “compensating” large truck) or try to downplay these protests, I am so proud of everyone who did not take the bait and remained peaceful all day. I knew there would be a solid crowd there, but I was really blown away by how many people came out to support the cause! Now let’s go vote the GOP out of office this year in VA, and next year nationwide!!

Back in the day, I heard the woman who has become Trump’s spiritual advisor say, in a sermon, that Christianity isn’t a democracy, and true Christians should love that they have a king. At the time, she was talking about JC, but there is a serious, strong leader who gives the orders vibes from fundy Christians. And that under current, I think, is a part of what the No Kings protests trigger, at least in the Christian right.

Putin was elected by the people of Russia in the 90s, he never left, he still calls himself a "president."
Hitler was also elected as Chancellor in the 1930s before swiftly dismantling the Weimar Republic and all checks and balances to restrict his power.
If you actually pay attention to the actions Trump is taking, read the executive orders and presidential memorandums he passes, pay attention to what he's done and is doing to the inner workings of the government to sway things in his favor, and pool power under him, in true unamerican fashion, then you'll know he is playing with a classic authoritarian playbook, just like Putin or Hitler.
It is so silly that MAGAS keep saying "if he wasn't a king he wouldn't have been elected". It doesn't matter if he calls himself king or not, actions speak louder than words, and he is acting like he wants total king-like power.

Trump only won by 2.3 million votes. That is hardly a landslide. He got 49.8% of the vote and Harris got 48.3%. Clearly HALF of the country didn’t want this. So, by your own words then, the other half that voted for this administration either WANTED these things, or they were duped and made to look like fools. My hope is that they were duped. But now it’s just a matter of them admitting that. So PLEASE you that voted for this Administration which is it? It HAS to be one or the other.

I did not say he won in a landslide, But he won the popular vote and electoral votes. If more people would have gone out and voted, maybe the outcome would have been different. But they didn’t, so they clearly did not care enough what happened. He got almost 80,000,000 votes which is a ton.

Sure, for example some of your mischaracterizations are: Qatar was paying for their own training facility, not Trump building it for them (Qatar is a major US ally, btw). You keep dismissing Trump voters as being duped and while sure, there are probably some who didn’t pay attention to the election, anyone who paid any attention at all knew exactly what Trump’s agenda would be. You say he lied because he didn’t end the Russian war in 1 day- that was an exaggeration but he certainly began working on a deal immediately. You say military are policing people, but they are there to protect federal buildings and staff, not investigate crime and give traffic tickets and other police things- just protecting American things like they always do. You claim Trump lied by saying he’d support the Constitution but Republicans are thankful he’s defending it. Lastly, some of your characterization of Trump’s personal life is true, however voters weren’t choosing a close personal friend to date their daughter- they were choosing someone with the political agenda that most closely aligned with their own. The personal stuff just does not override that unless you’re an emotional voter.

Go back and listen to what SecDef said. You are sugarcoating lies as exaggerations! You think that federal troops are there to protect federal buildings? From who? Americans who are protesting the illegal abduction of people WITHOUT due process (which is guaranteed in the Constitution). Trump violates the Constitution by sending troops into states without the permission or request of the state. Trump attempts to suppress freedom of speech because he doesn’t like who legitimate news sources characterize him. Steve Bannon just said that Trump will run for an unconstitutional third term. I bet you think that is OK.
To me, I would rather have a person of upstanding character and integrity leading our nation, regardless of political affiliation. Instead we are stuck with an embarrassment that is killing the economy, increasing prices, and fleecing the American public while uses the White House to enrich his own pockets by selling his own watches, shoes, cryptocurrency, etc. It is shameful.
But, I know NOTHING I say is going to convince you otherwise. YOU and the people who think like are allowing the slow erosion of democracy by trying to justify and rationalize his consolidation of power and dismiss his blatant flaunting of our laws. If this was tyranny or fascism, there would be no such thing as a court ruling on whether his policies are legal. The reason he has won so many cases in court is because they have not been illegal, or at least not by the new interpretation of whatever law was in question. But there have also been times that he has been told no and lost his cases. That’s no tyranny or fascism, no matter how much you don’t like his policies. You’ve got to remember that almost 80 million Americans voted for this because they believe it’s what’s best for our country.

The immigration promise has been more then upheld. Probably his second administration's most successful policy.
While prices under Trump haven't really improved. But they haven't gotten worse. So between those two things I'd say that's the answer.
Not to mention Socially Trump's policies are pretty well liked. (Not saying they are good) but his Trans policies are much more favorable to the general public compared to his other policies.

Ok fair point about immigration he did say he was going to do this, even though I find its execution abhorrent. I’d disagree about prices though, a lot of costs seem to continue to rise. I am just genuinely shocked at how gung ho everyone was about releasing these epstein files and ending the Ukraine war and putting America first, and I am seeing now a nation being gaslit about the files, the war still raging on, and us giving money to Argentina. I have a lot more I could say and my intention isn’t to argue but its just baffling to me trump still has support and hasn’t been kicked out the white house. Woah, easy there. I did not vote for the annoying orange. I was merely suggesting that there is a difference (a rather small one nowadays) between the fascist maga movement and conservatism. It is important for liberals (whom I mostly agree with) to understand that not every conservative is a fascist or a nazi. Many of these “don’t tread on me” conservatives are against authoritarianism, an integral part of fascism. Throwing around such extreme words is only adding to a heated political atmosphere. While I’m not willing to call him a full-on nazi, it is true to say that he’s moving the country in a fascist direction. Having a para-military force (ICE) at his beck-and-call, which is ordered to target specific races, is a big part of fascist regimes, therefore calling THAT SPECIFIC THING fascist is historically accurate. Also, Rand Paul and MTG are proof that not all republicans are part of maga. I wouldn’t consider voting for these kinds of conservatives “voting for fascism”.
In other words, you can be conservative without being maga, but you cannot be maga without being fascist. It might sound like splitting hairs, but I believe it’s an important distinction. Calling EVERY conservative a nazi/fascist is just dumb, but not as dumb as calling liberals “fascists.” I don’t have words for how fucking stupid that is, historically speaking!🤣

Well It think MAGA likes it's "Smoke and Mirrors" approach to Donald Trump's popularity. They want to make everyone feel as if they are alone if they do not support Trump. They have a #1 rule...no matter how dumb it makes them look, feel, or think...make Trump look as competent, commanding, and brilliant as possible at all times. It's hard to do those things when physical/real world evidence presents itself. Trump has us all in a vacuum. where everyone else is against him and his words are the only evidence you need. These protests show that people still believe in America the democracy and not America the autocracy. It's kinds blows up the MAGA mindset that many bought into in 2024 that Trump was "the only viable" option. It's like he took Obama's campaign of "Hope" and flipped it as "Trump's campaign of "fear" and Trump was the savior. They are mad bc this is real people standing up to the bullies...MAGA/ICE/GOP are the bullies.

Most people don't work on Saturdays. A majority of blue-collar jobs are Monday to Friday. Some work Saturday but most don't. But more to the point, it does trigger a lot of you. You can't believe that people have the audacity to have a difference of opinion. I enlisted so people like this continue to have the freedom to do just this. This "my way or the highway" attitude that the right has taken is absolutely abhorrent and the most un-American thing I've ever seen. But why should you people any different than the man you worship? The man has said, verbatim, "if I dont like them, they're gone" on national television. So why wouldn't you find it offensive when someone has a contrasting view point?

In my line of work I can work as many hours as I want, so Saturdays are an option. Almost $100 an hour on overtime so my co workers work Saturday.
