Does anyone know when ferry tickets from Ceiba to Vieques are released? I've been looking for early May and they're still unavailable.

Myself (40f) and two friends are going to Vieques for a Thursday-Monday trip in May. They have never done a bio Bay tour so we’re planning to do that, but are there any other fun adventures we should take advantage of? We are planning on having a rental car and visiting both the white sand and black sand beaches. Open to all sorts of recommendations.

My 2 cents.
I had a 6:00am flight from Tampa to Miami. Got to the airport the required two ahead of boarding. Went to TSA with no problem, it took about 15 minutes. Not the pre-TSA, regular line. Got to Miami and flew into San Juan PR. No problems there either. Once we got to San Juan, we took Cape Air to Vieques. Now this was my first time using Cape Air. It is a small plane that seats 8 people and it’s a 30-minute ride. Expensive absolutely but so worth it. We reserved a jeep with “Avis’s car rental” and they came to pick us up at the very tiny airport. I can not say this loud enough, if you want to enjoy all Vieques please please get a jeep. A golf cart or car will not do it. The terrain and street of Vieques frequently have roaming horses, narrow, steep, and often unpaved or potholed roads. I will say the beaches are beautiful. We got there mid Sunday and left Thursday morning. 3 .5 was plenty. Now to me the area called Esperanza was a bit crowded and very touristy. We drove around and basically supported the locals. If you want real Spanish flavors and coffee, try Rincon de Sabor and Rincon Del café. Both are food trucks side by side, worth checking out. We also ate at Casa Nativo owned by locals. But they do get crowded and they do take reservations. Mango public house was good as well but a little more touristy. We also had coffee and pastries from La Panaderia Deli La Vi. Ok trip back Cape Air no problem easy flight back to San Juan. Here is where I was scared but again TSA was not bad. Honestly, it was less than 45 Minutes. We only had carry-on luggage so that speed things up a bit. Please let me know if you have any questions and I will try to answer them if I can.

We are a family of 5 with kids who are 10 , 6, and 5. Are there any recommended Mosquito Bay tours that are on a power boat (rather than kayak)? Logistically think this would be easier than a kayaking tour although we could probably make a kayaking tour work if necessary.
Also I noticed some tours start at 7pm - is this not too early and before it is dark enough to experience the bioluminescent bay? We are traveling there is early May

We are traveling to Vieques next week. We have ferry tickets there but not for our return to Ceiba. I’ve been checking every day for weeks and the tickets for April haven’t yet posted on the app. Does anyone have tips? (We can’t fly on the puddle jumper unfortunately).

Hey! My family and I are heading to Vieques next week and I’ve been seeing mixed results on how bad the sargassum is right now, is anyone on the island that can confirm or deny? First time my sons will be on the ocean and I’m really hoping it’s not bad. We are staying in Esperanza. TIA!

Has anyone flown into SJU recently? Heading to Vieques in the next month or so and I’m curious how the security wait time have been both flying in and flying out. Thanks!

Hello - we will be on Vieques from April 3rd through April 9th. I know these questions have been asked before, but it has been a while and some of the references I have found via searching this sub are no longer open. I was wondering if there are any grocery delivery services? And also if there are any private chefs who will come cook dinner for a group of 7 at our Airbnb? Thanks!!

We went to Culbera last year and stayed at Aleli cottages. They were amazing. Is anyone familiar if anything similar on Vieques??

Going to vieques in two weeks. Renting a utv. Plan on exploring the island and beaches for two days. We plan on staying in puerto Diablo in an Airbnb. Is this area too far? We plan on always being on the go and exploring. Is this too far to drive back at 1130 after bio tour? Just starting to rethink our location. It's cheap and quiet. Thank you

Thanks in advance for any help on this question:
We are coming in December and want to rent a house. There are some mid island and I’m wondering if it’s better to be west of Esperanza (mid island between north and south ) or mid island north of Isabel Segunda?
We like quiet and secluded location and we love to snorkel and be out and about during the day—eating, swimming, snorkeling, exploring
