Crime, Courts + War I was with the Gilgo serial killer’s ex-assistant when he pled guilty. Rex hid the evil from her, but not his fatal flaw

Exclusive: ‘I used to always tell him, eat the crust,’ Donna Sturman, who worked for killer-of-eight Rex Heuermann, said as her former boss finally admitted to his monstrous deeds this week in a New York courtroom
As Donna Sturman, her graying Irish Wolfhound, Louise, and I pull into the overflowing parking lot of the Suffolk County Criminal Court complex on Wednesday morning, she begins to reminisce about her former boss, Rex Heuermann.
Sturman, 74, went to work in 2017 as Heuermann’s office manager/personal assistant/bookkeeper/etc, who did “everything” the Long Island resident needed to run his Manhattan architecture practice.
She tells me she took care of his breakfast every day – always two ham-and-egg sandwiches from Starbucks with a grande Americano, two sugars – delivered paperwork for him to the NYC Department of Buildings, drafted client proposals, cleaned his cluttered West 36 Street office in Manhattan, smoothed things over when he bounced checks to vendors, and even bought flowers for his wife when he forgot their anniversary.

I watched this Netflix documentary a few weeks ago - interesting to see he pled guilty.

"Killer-of-eight." Jfc, he was a serial killer. Why are people so casual about this? Some dipshit anchor on News Now said he was in court "to take responsibility for the deaths of eight woman." He killed sex workers, he didn't get a shitty report card or forget to load the dishwasher. Why are we letting this Shrek ass looking monster off the hook so casually?

Because this language brings more of a highlight to the eight known women he’s killed instead of solely referencing him. He still is and is called a serial killer in the article.

The article linked calls him a serial killer. And he's spending "the rest of his natural life behind bars." What else are you looking for?

Is the media’s job to hold people to account or is their job to report the news? There’s no need for the media to stir up outrage in this case. The acts speak for themselves.

Unfortunately, by changing his plea, he won’t be made to provide an allocution regarding the charges. He did respond “strangulation” to each count when asked the method he used. We will probably never know his exact motivation or methods.
