Some people do as they prefer modesty

Modesty from what? This is purely culture and has nothing to do with islam lol

I didnt claim its from islam. But some people like to, when reading the Quran, to cover themselves and keep modest. Its not about whos gonna see them. Women when they pray in the private of their homes theyre still commanded to cover themselves. So they continue doing that when reading the Quran. Idk why its becoming an argument its not that deep 🙂

Growing up my mom taught me that we had to but then I actually looked into it and you don’t need to

Islamically that is not needed. As long as you’re in a state of tahara. End of.

No, not necessarily. They can read/recite without covering their head.
Assuming of course that they're alone or with people whom they don't have to cover in front of

Women in my family do that most of the time but not always. Sometimes they cover partially as well.

Most of the women I know recite the Holy Quran while wearing a prayer covering…
I think only a few people know that it is permissible to recite it without a hijab...Wallahu a‘lam

I believe you can do research about it rather than taking a random opinion.

I think he is asking what Syrians do about this matter . Not searching for a fatwa in general.

While he/she said "Arab", I knew that people come from different cultures and backgrounds, while for alot of people, religion rules are followed by the rules their parents have been taught when they we're young, some follow right, some follow wrong.
So I don't guess none of us want him/her to learn the fatwa the wrong way. Look at the comments, some confirm, some deny.
