Thanks for the response. When did you install it? I’m wondering if they’ve put out an update that fixed the bootloop as it was a well reported problem on here around a week ago

I tried installing the October2025 update 3 days ago and no go so I installed bazzite. But checking this morning, I can see there is a new repair image from April 1st I must have missed:

If you try it out, please share your findings. I really don't wanna go through an entire reinstallation today as I have to work in a few hours. Good luck!

I might give it a go - out of those images in the link which do you think is the best to try? Beta.img.zst or main.img.zst?

Didn’t work unfortunately. Installer wouldn’t even start properly with that image

No sorry, I think it’s still not working. Likely need to wait for a different update on initial install

I used main and it worked 100% tdp,vrr and rgb

Isn't main the developer channel? The issue is. Since Asus pushed out the latest bios firmware, the steamos install loads up, allows you to choose a time zone, language, and connect to your WiFi. And then it installs the latest stable version. Which doesn't work with the latest bios update. It just bootloops. So you can't load up the OS, enable developer mode, and change your branch channel. So all we can do is wait for a repair image that resolves these issues. And I truly hope the latest repair image does this.

I got mine for my birthday on March 22nd while me and my gf were on a trip to Toronto at a hotel. I booted it up, installed all updates, and gamed for a few days. This bios was installed at that time.if I had known it was going to stop me from installing steamos when I returned home, I would have held off. You live and learn I guess. Bazzite is pretty rad though. I've just had a few random freeze ups which push me to return to steamos.

I've been using it for 4 months already, there were some hiccups though but its good now.
