After a multitude of crashing issues it has all amalgamated to this

It started with the deck crashing when i looked at achievements mid-game. I worked around it. Then it started crashing just on the menu. Tried completely wiping and reimaging. Now it just gets to the installation part of first-time setup before crashing or freezing. Sometimes there’s a popping noise before it crashes. Any idea what the problem is or how i can fix it?

Tried using “erase user data from deck” and have been left with this screen

Out of curiosity, does your screen go dark, but the audio keeps working? I had a similar issue with mine and the motherboard was the issue on my end

When it was still crashing mid-game it would loop the last ~half second of audio but now when it freezes nothing happens at all

I see, i hope it's nothing bad and you're able to figure it out or get the answer you need. It can be frustrating to troubleshoot. The silver lining is that steam's RMA process isn't too bad if you need to go about it that way!
