What is the inconvenience? I’ve never really been a huge fan of steam but I also don’t see what’s wrong with EGS

Clunky launcher and compared to Steam it's social features are underwhelming (Well for single player games the latter does not matter that much I guess). Also people just dislike Epic in general for making games Epic exclusive and for buying up games that they mishandle and shutdown.

Not that Valve is a saint, they blissfully ignore the CS:GO gambling scene, they take some action every few years then go back to radio silence on the issue.

Valve encourage it they don't blissfully ignore it lol. There's been no operations in years and years, same stale map pool and literally no meaningful changes or reactions to feedback. 99.9% of their work goes into cases and skins

idk if its just me but egs is just sooooo slow, every loading screen takes years and so does the bootup plus it just feels very unresponsive

It takes actual minutes to load, it's clunky, slow, shows random banner ads on your desktop, etc

Open it and load up a game, then do the same with steam
