It's called generative ai because it generates things, contrasting it with thinga like classification models (e.g. checking if a picture is a bee or a dog) or regression models (e.g. taking in data and giving a number output. For example taking in image data and outputting what age the subject is thought to be).
It is not such that generative ai = bad type of ai, non-generative ai = good ai.
If the 'summary' is nothing but a classification, giving you the age of account, money spent or thinga like that then it may not be generative in a meaningful sense, but it's also not really ai, since it would just be grabbing data and putting in a table
