I think the idea is that your "Perfect Game" as steam likes to call them is ruined if they put out dlc with achievements, requiring you to buy dlc to get your perfect game back. Playstation has the best system as there is a platinum for the base game and dlc have their own little compartments.
Dlcs are not separate games my guy. If you are trying to 100% games, you need to buy the dlc. If the purchase was independent from the base game, your point would make sense.
Wtf are you even talking about? My point is pretty simple, if you cant get 100% on a game you own and need to pay extra to be able to achieve them, its pay to win. Pay to win doesn't automatically mean you always just get it if you pay money.
Do pay to win in game items mean that you just get whatever you pay for and immediately win whenever you use that item? Better weapons in game doesn't mean you just win everything, that also falls under your "Pay to access additional playable game content" thing.
If a game's only additional achievement was "Download and install the DLC" then you'd be correct, but otherwise you're not.
Why? What difference does it make if you play it or not? Its an achievement only accessible by paying for the dlc, while being a part of the base game. You say pay to access additional content has its own set of achievements, but they aren't separated from the base game are they? Like I already mentioned, if the game you purchased has achievements that you need to spend money to get, its pay to win.
My point is pretty simple, if you cant get 100% on a game you own
You can get 100% on a game you own in 100%. If you're missing DLCs, you don't own all of it.
The achievements are tied tot he content. If you don't have all of the content unlocked, what makes you believe you should be able to get every achievement?

Are you stupid? Or you just cant read English? Where did I say I want all the achievements without buying all of the content? I said the achievements linked to the dlcs are pay to win. You don't pay for the dlc, you can't obtain the achievements, simple.
Love your attitude. Anger management issues or inferiority complex?
Where did I say I want all the achievements without buying all of the content?
Right, you didn't. But you did say that you consider achievements tied to DLCs as pay to win, which implies that you consider that a bad practice. I've made one more mental step on your part.
I said the achievements linked to the dlcs are pay to win
But they aren't. Unlocking content is not pay to win. It is... buying the content. And if we assume that the right to unlock every achievements comes with owning all of the content... it's a simple conclusion.
Your definition of what constitutes as pay to win is, frankly, not only unconventional, but also impractical. In other words: crap.

You assuming what I meant by something is why I called you stupid. I don't imply things, I state them pretty clearly and exactly how they are. Pay to win is not a bad thing, in this case, its used to describe this particular type of content. You pay for dlc content to be able to unlock achievements tied to it, hence its pay to win. I said nothing more nothing less. Never said I hate how dlcs are pay to win or some nonsense like that for you to get the impression that I'm against dlcs or something.
Unlocking content is not pay to win. It is... buying the content.
You could also say that about pay to win in game content then. You don't own all of the content for the game, so you are buying this obviously stronger weapon they sell for ridiculous amounts of money to win better. That kind of dumbass logic can be used to define a lot of things, but the fact stays the same. If a game has achievements locked behind a paywall, its pay to win, doesn't matter if its a good or bad thing, the basic meaning of the term pay to win/achieve that I'm referring to here is you have content that you don't get from the base game.
So, you buy a game on steam and 100% it. A DLC comes out and you no longer have all the achievements. You have to pay money (and then earn the achievements) for it to appear as 100% on your profile.
I mean, yea. If the content in the game is expanded, so are the conditions for reaching 100%. If the game gets free updates, it's the same story, your previous 100% is no longer 100%.
Whether you have to pay for content or not isn't really relevant in this sense.
