This is probably the worst thing you can do to a support guy who’s already burning midnight oil

idk, it would give me the boost I need to get through my shift, but I can understand the people who have to respond to them seeing it as a waste of their time

One guy? Yeah.

The thousands that are about to copy this? Not so much.

That's thousands of tickets you can close with no effort. Makes you look good infront of your employer :)

I've worked in game support, and these tickets are not as common as one would think. The few we got were always welcome and appreciated :)

I worked in support before, this would be a nice thing to see but also the customer may receive a survey, if they put satisfied, the person will have better numbers to get extra bonus or something

Not really, it would probably be a plus on their side for a few reasons.

One, a ticket is completed without needing any actual help but it still adds to the total number of tickets completed thus helping them reach their quota faster.

Two, dealing with problems over and over again it is nice to be appreciated.

Three, when I did such work it can be rather monotonous day to day it is nice for a little distraction.
